Hi and welcome to another watercolor Wednesday! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today's card was inspired by an artist that I really love her work, You and your big dreams,Kelly Latevola Taylor. Check out her blog and videos for great coloring and storytelling. I started with a piece of Fluid 100 watercolor paper, stamped the flowers and leaves from floral essence stamp set with black stazon ink (this ink will not bleed when water is applied). I wet the entire panel and then just dropped in ink with my water painter.
When adding color remember that the color will dry much lighter than when it is wet but you can always add more color if needed. I love how when the colors are wet they bleed into each other and create beautiful colors.
I wanted the colors a little more intense and so I used my stampin blends when the watercolor paper had dried completely. Kelly does this often and so I wanted to try it. I really can't compare my work to hers, but I did like the idea. I also added some little dots to give the centers a little more added texture.
Thank you so much for spending some time with me! I really appreciate any comments you may have. Have a wonderful day!
