Seashells by the seashore

Hi! Today's card is a quick and easy card with some ink blending and stampin blend coloring. I started with the friends are like seashell bundle, stamping with momento ink for the sand dollars and blushing bride ink for the large ink. Then I colored with  petal pink and calypso coral stampin blends.

I wanted the large shell to match but I realized if I stamped it in black ink it would be to dark so after I stamped it and colored it I used my black stampin write pen to draw lines.

For the background I used my blending brushes (they are currently unavailable but I will let you know when you can order them again). I wanted a beach look so I used crumb cake for the sand with the sand stamp from the set and balmy blue for the sky. To make the clouds I used the negative piece from the basic border dies and my blending brush.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on black card stock. The card design was from the sketch on the TGIF challenge from last week.

  1. This is beautiful! Very clever to add the black lines to the larger stamp...you threw me off there for a minute! Pulls it all together and looks amazing!

  2. Thank you so much LeAnne! It looked funny without the black line so I just had to add it so that it matched the others. Luckily it was an easy image to draw around because I am not to good with outlining. Have a great day!
