Hi Friends! Welcome back to another fun inspiration challenge over at the hand stamped sentiments blog! Look at these amazing colors and images. I hope they inspire you to create something amazing. I was inspired by the beautiful flowers and wanted to create them with the artistically inked stamp bundle. I was looking for a watercolor, soft look. To achieve that I inked the flower stamp and then using my sponge dauber applied a coordinating color. So that the colors would blend I spritzed the stamp with water. A few tips I learned was to keep the spritz bottle about 10" away from the stamp (you want a light spritz) and then to stamp the image a few times without reinking. I really liked the second and third stampings. They were light and beautiful. As you can see from the last picture I was addicted to this! I could help trying lot of color combos!
I created the basic white layer with my simply scoring board, just scoring lines diagonally. Such a fun way to add texture (you could also do this with your scoring blade from your trimmer). I gold heat embossed the sentiment and added a few of the brushed metallic gems to keep with the gold theme.
Thanks so much for spending some time with me today. I hope that you are inspired by this beautiful collage of pictures to create. I am so excited to see what you come up with! Make sure to share it on the hand stamped sentiments blog!
Beautiful, Patti! How brilliant to do the leaves from the DSP, I MUST try this! I love all your flower sheets, how cool to have so many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you Heather! I had so much fun creating all these flowers. Once I start with water and ink I can't stop haha.
