Can you believe it is time for another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge? And it's May? This year is really flying by! Today is also the release of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog! So much going on today. I have been really loving the Taco Fiesta Stamp Set and so I couldn't resist using it for the sketch challenge. I stamped with Memento Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock and then used Colored Pencils to color the peppers. Did you notice there are a new set of colored pencils in the new catalog? I am really excited to get some new colors. To color on the Crumb Cake Cardstock I first colored with the white pencil and then went over with the colored ones. I used the Radiating Stitches Dies for the Crumb Cake piece that I mounted everything on. These dies are an Online Exclusive Items (click here) and they are so fun, a must have! They will not be pictured in any of the catalogs, you can only view them online. Stampin' Up will periodically add new items and I will let you know when they do.
I kept the strips of cardstock behind the focal image just cardstock, I tried using other shapes but with all the colors and images on the main piece I thought it was a little too busy. For the greeting I repeated the focal point colors and ink.
