Lately I have been struggling with creative ideas and so I always find it so helpful to join a few of the card challenges online. Today I was inspired by TGIF Challenge #438. 1 card 2 ways. My idea was to create one card with watercoloring and the other with Stampin' Blends. (I also did one card top folding and the other side folding) I used the Bird's Eye View Stamp Set for my cards.
This card I stamped the bird and books with StazOn Black Ink on Fluid Watercolor Paper so that I could use a water painter and ink refills to color. I also used Fluid Watercolor Paper for the Fern 3D Embossed panel. I took the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad and gently ran it across one side of the embossing folder and then spritzed it with water, ran it through the Stampin' and Emboss Machine and then let it dry. The greeting for both cards is from the Wanted To Say Dies and finished the cards off with a few Brushed Metallic Dots.
For the second card I stamped with Memento Black Ink and used Stampin' Blends (Pebbled Path, Azure Afternoon and Crumb Cake) to color the bird and books. I also took a strip of Basic White Cardstock and swiped it with Balmy Blue Dark, Light and Dark Azure Afternoon Stampin' Blends and then used the Fern 3D Embossing Folder again.
Check out the amazing talent over at the TGIF website! Have a great day!
