Hand Stamped Sentiments #489

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge for this week has some lovely images and colors. I loved the pink flowers and so I went through my stash and pulled out a retired stamp set. I was inspired by a video over at Kelly Taylor Cards. She white heat embossed and then applied a loose watercolor to the flowers. I am still practicing and can by no means say mine is half as good. If you haven't seen her videos and coloring you must check her out!

I had a lot of fun playing with ink refills and a water painter.

I do have to warn you Kelly makes it look so easy however it is a little more difficult especially the part to let the water and ink do the work. I kept hearing her in my head saying just leave it, don't over work it. I do like the way that it came out. I think I may add a few sequins for a little bling, I think that is really missing.
I hope you get a chance to play along with the challenge this week. I look forward to seeing what inspires you!

  1. Absolutely gorgeous!!! This is a beautiful watercolored technique. This card looks like you've executed the technique flawlessly! I need to watch the video and practice, as well. Thanks for the inspiration!
