Freshly Made Sketches #665

Thank you for visiting, today I created a card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I keep all my scraps and I never know what to do with them and so as soon as I saw this sketch I knew that I could use a few of the scraps. I love the Latte Love Stamps, Dies and DSP and sadly it is going away for good so if you are interested in picking up any of it shop today. When it is gone it will be gone for good. It is in the Last Chance Products.

I stamped the cup with Daffodil Delight Ink and then colored with Stampin' Blends. The greeting is from the Rustic Crates Dies and the circle is from the Spotlight On Nature Dies. If you are like me and have strips of DSP around give this fun sketch a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

One of a Kind Dies

The One of a Kind Dies are so fun! They are very inexpensive, which is also a plus! I created this card with ink smooshing in Fluid Watercolor Paper and then die cutting both of the dies.  I placed them on a piece of Basic White Cardstock that I transformed with Blending Brushes and several different blue inks. I kept the center a little lighter to show a glow. Then I embossed it with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder and flicked Basic White Ink Refill all over.  I finished it off with a few Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins and a sentiment from the Joyful Sayings Mix and Match Ephemera Pack.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

One last Fall Card

Winter is here and so it is time to put away all the fall card ideas. Even though this is not really fall colors I guess cause it is leaves I thought of it as a fall card. I had some leftover leaves that I had ink smooshed and die cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies and so I created this. I had envisioned a drying rack of leaves, they used to be popular many years ago. You would tie flowers with raffia and then hang on pegs on the wall, am I really dating myself? This is a very loose interpretation of that. I used the Country Woods DSP for the piece they would be hanging on and in the back panel I used the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a blessed day!

Hearts & Hugs Bundle

Happy December! I am really hooked on the Country Woods DSP these days. I love how it layers! Today I paired it with the Hearts & Hugs Bundle. These little guys are so much fun to color. I used Stampin' Blends to color them, Smoky Slate, Bubble Bath and a little Crumb Cake under them.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yuletide Village

I am in love with the Yuletide Village Stamp Set. It is one of my favorites! I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch again for this card. I also used the Winter Meadow DSP for one of the banners and the other is Moody Mauve Cardstock embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder another must have! The greeting is a retired stamp set and I stamped with on a Unbounded Love Die. For the house I used Stampin' Blends and fussy cut it out. Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed day!

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I took a break from creating some Christmas cards to make a card for the fall. I swiped a few ink pads onto my Silicone Craft Sheet and then spritzed it with water. Then took Fluid Watercolor Paper and smooshed it in the ink. I let it dry and repeated that a few times. When it was completely dry I flicked ink on the paper. I used the Autumn Leaves Dies to cut out several leaves.
I used the Fern Embossing Folder on Basic Gray Cardstock for the bottom layer and then a few pieces of Country Woods DSP for the next layer. To add a little more texture I crumbled up a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock and then gently pulled the layers of paper apart leaving a leather type of appearance. The tricky part is not letting the paper tear, I just hid the places where it tore under the leaves. I finished it off with a sentiment from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set and a few Sequins.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Idea

Hi! I am so glad you are here today! I have another idea for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge. I used the Winter Meadow DSP for the banners. I kept this card very clean and simple. I used a Blending Brush to ink blend several different blue inks onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock and then sprinkled water onto it. After it dried I die cut it with a retired Oval Die. I used the One of a Kind Dies for the snowflake and a few Basic Rhinestones for the sparkle. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set. I hope you are inspired to create with this sketch. I have another idea so keep checking back to see what else I have created. Have a blessed day!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #452

Time for a Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge. I feel like the sketch challenges are always the favorites. I know I always enjoy a fun new idea for a card! For my card I was inspired by the Winter Meadow DSP. I like the color palette on this paper and so I used Garden Green Cardstock for the other banner. For the oval in the sketch I used one of the dies from the Unbounded Love Dies. This die set has many great dies for sentiments. The sentiment I used is from a retired stamp set but I felt like it really fit well.  The bird is from Birds Eye View Stamp Set, I stamped it on Fluid Watercolor Paper with Staz On Black Ink. I used a Water Painter to watercolor the cute little bird. Behind him I used a few sprigs from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. I die cut them out of Fluid Watercolor Paper also and smooshed Garden Green Ink on them.
I layered it all on a Crumb Cake Cardstock panel that I used with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
I have a few more ideas that I created and I will share them as the week goes on. I hope you will join the fun and I look forward to seeing what creative ideas you come up with for this sketch.

Fall Leaves

More of the smooshed fall leaves in today's card. I am pretty sure that has to be one of my favorite techniques. Never fails and always turns out! I used the Autumn Leaves Dies and the Planted Paradise Stamps. I also added 3 different layers of Country Woods DSP. I decided not to use a sentiment because I just couldn't find the right place to put it. Maybe I will add that when I decide who to send it to. Super easy card and that is cause the DSP really is the star!

Hot Air Balloon

Hot Air Balloon Dies for my card today. I die cut everything with Basic White Cardstock and then colored it all with Stampin' Blends. I challenged myself with the color combo. One that I would never use. I used complementary colors, purple and orange, colors that are opposite on the color wheel. I ink blended a light sky in the background and used the mountains from the Forever Forest Dies. I also added a little Stampin' Blends to the mountains to give them a little more depth.

The only stamping I did was on the sentiment which is from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set.
Challenge yourself today to use a color combo you would not normally use. It really was a fun! Thanks for stopping by!
