Sunflower love

The celebrate sunflowers is still one of my favorite stamp set and the sunflower dies are just stunning! I couldn't resist using them to make this rustic, farmhouse card. The background layer is from the in good taste dsp. You will not want to miss out on this paper since it is one of the designer series papers that is 15% off for the month of July. This paper goes with everything. It is a nice large pack and has neutral colors of wood grain, tiles and other natural elements.

For the center of the sunflower I white heat embossed the sentiment on early espresso card stock and then with my simply scored scoring tool I made diagonal lines to create texture for the center. I used my blending brushes to add a little shading to the center of the yellow part and the outside of the brown. By the way the blending brushes are back in stock! Yeah! If you have not gotten them yet you will have to get them.  They are amazing!

For the rest of the card I just die cut most of the images  and glued them behind the sunflower. I wrapped a little white bakers twine that I had pulled apart so that you could see all the strands. Thank you so much for checking out my card. If you have any questions let me know. Don't forget about the dsp sale and the new paper pumpkin kit. Have a great day!
