TGIF Challenge 339

Hi! Today's card was inspired by the fun technique over at TGIF challenges. I have seen so many people trying this technique and so this challenge really gave me the reason to give it a try. It is alcohol blending. If you check out the TGIF blog you can read how to create this look. Or if you would like you can always use the expressions in ink dsp. I started with a piece of vellum and used pumpkin pie, cajun craze and daffodil delight stampin blends. I was trying to get a fall look. After I applied the alcohol (you have to use at least 90% or it doesn't move, I know I tried 60% with no success) and the vellum dried I ran it through with the stitched greenery die to add texture and to help flatten the vellum.

I loved the bright colors and I felt that mounting it on pumpkin pie cardstock really gave it a fun look so I opted for that rather than white cardstock. I wanted to keep the card simple and so I just ran through the large leaf from the artistically ink bundle with gold foil sheets. The greeting is white heat embossed from the same bundle and die cut with tasteful label dies. Lately I have been using these dies a lot, they have so many great shapes.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Go give this technique a try it is very fun and easy to do.
