Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #378

It is time for a fun color challenge over at the hand stamped sentiments blog and these colors are perfect for a fun Christmas card. I used the evergreen elegance stamp set. It has the most beautiful trees and I like they have 3 different sizes. For my card I used only 2 of the larger tree design. I started with shimmery white paper because it is great with water techniques. I stamped the trees in evening evergreen and soft succulent and using my water painter added water directly to the stamp and then stamped it on the paper. I think the soft watercolor look it gives. A few of the large ones in the back were from the leftover ink on the stamp with just a little more water.

After it dried I used the evergreen forest embossing folder to add texture to the scene as well as to the background piece of soft succulent cardstock. I used the basic border die to cut the top of the paper for a little unexpected look.

I added the sentiment with merry merlot cardstock white heat embossed. I finished it off with a new product that will be available to order in January, they are iridescent gems! I am so excited about them, they will go with everything and they sparkle! As a demonstrator we are able to preorder product from the new catalogs, let me know if you are interested in signing up. Now till the end of the month Stampin' Up is offering a fabulous deal to sign up only $75 for $125 worth of product that you can customize your order.

Thanks again for stopping by and checking out the fun new color challenge at hand stamped sentiments. I look forward to how you will use this color combo. Have a great week!
