Best Birthday!

Who wouldn't have a best birthday with this fun card? It was really simple and easy to make. It is mostly just paper, stamps and ink. I did add a few extras but you could easily not add them and it would still be adorable. The stamps are from the friendly hello stamp set and the paper is friendly hello 12x12 dsp. Both are FREE with a $100 order. I stamped the large flower twice with fresh freesia, smaller buds with petal pink and the leaves in granny apple green. If you notice some are stamped twice or even three times so that the ink color is lighter. It is a great way to get a great depth of color.

I used my blender pen and ink refill to add a little color to the leaves and flowers. I also used some wink of stella on the flowers however, I was not able to get a good picture of the beautiful sparkle. For the sentiment I decided to keep it real simple and stamp it on top with basic black ink.

I added a few of the brushed brass butterflies (try and say that 3 times fast). They were a prize I won from Stampin Up for joining them online for demonstrator catalog event. Such a great reason to join! So much fun, demonstrations and prizes! Let me know if you are interested in knowing more about joining.

I couldn't resist using a new embossing folder, gingham! I love the texture of embossing folders and I really love the price point, normally right around $7. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope this inspired you to go back to basics of ink, stamp and paper. Have a blessed day!
