COOKIES!

I am back with my second idea for the hand stamped sentiments blog. Yesterday I shared with you my card that I submitted to the blog and I had another card I had created and I wanted to share with you. I used the nothings better than stamp set and dies for this card. I started with stamping my cookies on a strip of basic white card stock. This set is a 2 step stamping so the chips and outline of the cookie are separate from the inner color. I used crumb cake for the inside and soft suede for the outline. I stamped 2 extra on a scrap piece and die cut them to pop them up later.

Also, on my scrap I stamped the greeting and die cut with tasteful label dies. The piece behind is stamped on white with soft suede and then I ink blended to darken it up. Did you know that you can create colored paper with your blending brushes and ink if you do not have a paper color you would like? Great tip to remember. I layered on a piece of in good taste dsp and created a bottom trim with my basic border dies and more ink blending. I thought I wanted to use it in white but changed my mind to ink blend with soft suede.

I finished with a piece of crinkled seam binding white ribbon tied with a linen thread. I attached the popped up cookies and added a little shimmery crystal effects. Thank you so much for coming back today. Have you had a chance to create a card with the sketch? If not give it a try, it really is fun to see what you all submit. Have a blessed week!

Coming soon!!
