Hand Stamped Sentiment #426

Hi and Happy Halloween, so glad you are here! Time for an inspiration challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This one was a struggle. I didn't want to use the Rustic Crate Bundle since I have used that the past couple challenges and so I was unsure of what to use. This is what I like about challenges, they really push my creativity. So I liked the grid style, wooden container with the fall items and so I thought that I would sort of recreate that in my own way. Using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and a Sponge Dauber I applied Versamark Ink to a piece of Mossy Meadow Cardstock and then I sprinkled White Embossing Powder on and heated it with my Heat Tool. Then I cut it into small square pieces (keeping them in order, which was the hardest part of this card haha).
To create the container, I swiped Crumb Cake Ink on one side of the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and ran a piece of Basic White Cardstock through the Cut and Emboss Machine. Then I used the edge of my scissors to carefully distress the sides. I adhered it to a Basic White Card Base and then adhered the embossed squares.  For the sentiment I white heat embossed the greeting from Rustic Create Stamp Set and made a bow with Linen Thread that I adhered behind the greeting.

I finished off the card with a few of the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in the gold color. Let me know what you think of this card? Is it too busy? A little crazy? It is not what I had envisioned but I do like the way that it developed. Love to have you join in the fun over at Hand Stamped Sentiment and see what creative ideas you come up with! Have a great day!

We have had some cloudy days lately and I had such a hard time photographing this card. Thank you for understanding!

  1. Oh wow, Patti, I LOVE what you did with the inspiration! That "grid" is the perfect take, and I love the distressing especially! Brilliant!
