Birthday Notes

Hi! I originally bought this merry melody embossing folder to create some beautiful Christmas cards, that will still happen, yet I am still not ready to start Christmas yet. I then thought how about a birthday card? You always sing happy birthday at the party so why not on the card? I used a piece of fluid watercolor paper, rubbed balmy blue on the bottom of the folder and coastal cabana on the top with my ink pads. I then spritzed it with water and ran through the emboss machine.

I let it dry and then rubbed the ink pads direct to paper with a very light touch to get the notes to really pop out. I white heat embossed the greeting from the artistically inked stamp set. I used this greeting because of its size and it was long and vertical. I wanted a little something else for the birthday theme and so I stamped the cupcake from the sweets and treats stamp set (such a fun set to color!).

After coloring with my stampin blends, adding a little white chalk pen and finished with some shimmery crystal effects on the frosting. I die cut this with the tasteful label dies. I mounted it all on a piece of balmy blue card stock and sprinkled on a few artistry blooms sequins. Thank you so much for stopping by. Don't forget to order the Christmas paper pumpkin before it is too late!
