Hello! I have finally broke down and made a Christmas card, well sort of. It isn't really a card you would give at Christmas but it would be a winter card. The card sketch over at global design project looked like a great one for my little winter fellows and saleabration is almost over and I realized I haven't even used most the product I received for FREE. With a $50 order or more you can also pick FREE items and this adorable paper is one of the items! Aren't these little guys so cute? The paper stack is called penguin playmates. It is 12x12 designer series paper and it is just about the cutest paper ever! You have until Sept 30 to place an order of $50 and pick this for FREE! I ordered a bunch of cardstock, dimensionals and glue and before you knew it I was at $50.
For the card I fussy cut out the little critters and using the paper that was on the opposite side of the critters was the trees and I liked that for the background. I attached that to a piece of thick basic white cardstock. The colors that I used for the layers in the middle are just jade and soft sea foam. The jade I die cut with basic border dies and the sea foam I used my blending brush to apply white ink and then white heat embossed it. Oh and I used the adorning design mask for the lines. Using the diagonal lines but I just turned them to make vertical lines.
The greeting is from the sending hugs bundle, die cut in black and white heat embossed on black card stock. I finished it off with a few from my heart gems. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check out the cards that the designers at the global design project have created! Also, don't forget to place an order so that you can get this cute paper before it is gone. Have a great day!
This is cute! I may have to do one like it! I’ve been making interactive cards with the images from this DSP pack for children’s birthdays this winter.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! This card would be very quick and easy to mass produce and you could use so many of the cute images from the paper. The interactive cards sound like they would be adorable! What child doesn't like a card to also paly with! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
