Hi! I have been in a real stamping funk and the best way I know how to get out of it is to join in on some of the fun stamp challenge websites. Today's card was created from the sketch over at Freshly made sketches website.
Here is the card that I created for the challenge. This sweet little girl is from the seasons of fun stamp set. It is a hostess set and so it is free with any $150 or more order. I loved the images in this set and it gave me some time to sit, relax and color with my stampin blends!
After I finished coloring I die cut it with stitched so sweetly dies. I avoided having to fussy cut this when I cut it with the die, I do this a lot because I am not that good at fussy cutting. The layer behind in the garden green is from peaceful prints dsp. This paper is gorgeous and FREE with a $50 order. Only a few weeks left to get this pack of paper.
The background layer is created with the adorning design masks. I used my blending brushes to create this design. One little hint when using this particular mask is instead of going in a circular motion with the brushes I used a swiping motion. The lines are very thin and move a little when you use circular motion. I also masked off the areas with post it notes so that my brushes wouldn't blend into the next row.
The greeting is from the friends are like seashell stamp set, I white heat embossed it on black card stock and then cut out with the tasteful label dies. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you were inspired by the sketch as I was. Check out what the team over at the freshly made sketches did with this sketch. Such wonderful ideas! Have a beautiful week!
What a sweet image! And I love the background you created for her! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
