Matching scrolls make me happy!

Did you notice that the scroll from the beauty and joy set matches the scroll embossing folder? I can't help myself when I find something so simple.  Another thing that I think is when I find a set that I can use for multiple seasons. This set has sentiments and topiarys for so many occasions.

The set is sold in photopolymer and so it makes stamping each piece easy to line up.  For the leaves I tried a rock and roll technique. I stamped the leaves stamp in pear pizzazz and then rolled just the edge of the stamp in old olive. This technique is really fun and can look amazing however, I don't feel like I used colors that were that different because it is hard to see the color difference.

I decided to cut apart the greeting so that I could stagger it around the image. I also added a little dot of the new shimmery crystal effects. I am so excited to have crystal effect back and to have it shiny is an extra added bonus!

Which sets in either the holiday or the annual catalog do you find can make cards for multiple occasions? I would love to hear from you! Thank you for stopping by. If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a holiday catalog let me know and I will mail one out to you!  Have a blessed day and enjoy beauty and joy and let yourself bloom!

Negative and Positive

These little gift cards (3x3) were a breeze when I used the negative and the positive of the leaf from the gather together dies. With a little piece of gather together designer series paper and a few of the sentiments, I have 2 cards ready for gift giving.

This size of card is so nice to add with a little gift. Stampin' Up also sells little 3x3 envelopes which makes them complete.

I sponged the edges of the leaf to add more dimension and then used the cajun ink to stamp the sentiment. When you cut something out with your dies do you keep the positive and the negative? I love to make use of all I can so you can imagine that I do. Let me know which dies you love to use for the positive and negative elements? Thank you for visiting my blog and I would love to hear from you!

If you missed ordering for the first part of the paper pumpkin holiday collection, you have till Nov 10th to order the second part which is tags! You will not want to miss this cute set of gift tags ready to use for the holidays.  Also, gift tags can make really cute cards when attached to a A2 size card.

I have the best stamp club!

My stamp club ladies are the best and I love to make cute little gifts for them! I couldn't resist these adorable little clear boxes filled with candy! These little boxes are a great deal only $7.50 for 16 boxes! The sentiment in the gather together stamp set was just perfect for the way I feel about my friends! I am so glad they are all in my life! Many of them have been with me since my beginning as a stamp demonstrator. They have encouraged and been not only my customers for over 20 years but my best friends. We have all seen each others children grow up, get married and now even some having their own children. Along with those wonderful times we have also gone through some tragic as well. Watching several of our members struggle with cancer and unfortunately one of the members passing away. And most recently one of our members losing her 25 year old daughter! Through it all, our group continues to have sympathy, support, love and care for each other. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends! Each one of them holds a special place in my heart and I pray for them all daily!

As you can tell I have great love for each of them! I know they have all the stamps, paper and accessories they need but they continue to come for the friendships we have all created! The best part is the age range is from 93- 25. What a diverse group of ladies. Each bringing a little something to our group!

I would love to give them all so much more than a little box of candy for all they have given me the last 20 years! I hope they all know I value their friendship and love them all dearly! Thank you for all of you who have given of yourselves to our group. I am feeling so grateful for them!

The last day of September?

Are you tired of looking at another card with the gather together stamp set? I promise I will get to more stamp sets. I have been getting so much inspiration from this set and I can think of a million ideas. Hopefully you are inspired as well.

Aren't the colors on this card so beautiful? I just love them! I was so excited when I saw the twine in the same color and so I had to fit a little piece in!

Do you recognize the greeting? Well part of the greeting? It is from the country home set, I just used my black marker to use part of the sentiment and it fit so nicely on the stitched label die.

The background was done on watercolor paper with razzleberry, pumpkin and grapefruit. I then stamped the large leaf a few times after it had dried. I love all the layers of color! Thank you for visiting my blog and I would love any comment you might have! Have a blessed day and enjoy!

If you are like most of us and so busy during the holidays you will want to get the paper pumpkin to make fun holiday cards and tags. Everything comes with the kit and so all you have to do is enjoy the crafting time with friends and family! No commitment is necessary. You can just sign up for one month if you would like. Let me know if you have any questions!

More gather together!

I just am having so much fun coloring these pumpkins. The other night I sat down and had a bunch of the images from the gather together stamped in the momento ink and started to color so I think you might be in for a few more ideas with this set.

I have been challenging myself to think of different cards to make with all the images that I have colored. When you stamp do you like to make many of the same card or do you like them all to be different? Although I do not mind mass producing cards I think I really just like to make all different cards. I love to try and see if I can find a new way to use a stamp or stamp set.  For this card I liked the idea of using the wood plank embossing folder behind the nested stitched die cut out.

The greeting fit perfectly into the stitched label die! Don't you love it when that happens. I am always looking for a way to switch up my greeting. What is your go to for greetings? Have a beautiful day and enjoy the nice fall weather that is slowly approaching! Thank you for stopping by!

Only a few days left to this sale!

So thankful!

Being thankful is such a great feeling! I am so thankful for so many things in my life and when I think about the long list I feel so wonderful! I have been blessed with so much in my life! I think that is why I love to make fall cards because they focus so much on being grateful. One of the things that comes to mind is all the wonderful friends I have made through my Stampin' Up journey for almost 21 years now. And I am so excited about all the new friends that crafting will bring into my life in the future.
When I first saw this set in the holiday catalog I knew it would be on the list of sets to buy. I love sets that have a purpose for more than one occasion. This set is called beauty and joy. Another thing that I like about this set is that it is affordable, selling for only $16 in the US. All of the elements in the set are individual stamps so you can create them in a variety of ways.
This is the first card I have made with this set. I used the fall leaves and cut a few of them out for a little extra dimension. The hardest part of the whole card was cutting tiny pieces of foam dots to go under the itty bitty leaves.
If you are interested in this stamp set or any other from the new holiday catalog or the annual catalog let me know! I would love to have you join me in creating for those you love! I do appreciate you visiting my site and all the love that you send with your comments. Have  a beautiful week and enjoy!

Only a few days to take advantage of this great deal!  Don't miss out!

Blackberry Bliss!

I am a little late in posting this card. I made it a few weeks ago for one of the card challenges that I had been following and life just got in the way. I never did end up submitting it but I thought I would share the card with you anyways.

As many of you who have visited my blog before know that I aspire to be a watercolorist.  Not sure if that is a word, but I want to be one anyway. I love to watch videos of many amazing artist!  They all make it look soooo easy. But the one thing they all stress is practice!  So that is what I like to do when I get the chance.

I love the line images from the inspiring iris stamp set. I kept this style a little loose and I like the way it came out. If you have any tips on how I can improve I would love to hear them in the comments below.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a wonderful day! Enjoy!

Make sure to order the first of the two sets by Oct.10th. With the craziness of the holidays it is fun to have a project that all the work is done for you.  You get the fun of just sitting down and creating.

Gather together for GDP #208

I am really into the fall cards right now and so when I decided to join in the new global design project challenge I had to use the gather together bundle. This week is was CAS(E) the designer.

Isn't this card adorable created by the super talented Krista Frattin and what a fun design to play with. I sure hope that I did her original justice.

I used my blends to color this leaf all the beautiful colors of fall. I really think that fall is my favorite season. Also take a look at the detail in the smaller leaves, isn't it gorgeous!

I went with a light watercolor wash for the background and then added a few extra speckles with the dot stamp in the set. I couldn't resist adding a few of the new holiday rhinestones when I saw that they have pumpkin pie as one of the colors.

Hope you are finding time to make a few fall cards! I would love to know what sets are your favorite! Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed and beautiful week! Enjoy!
