Watercolor flowers

Hi! I hope everyone is staying healthy and taking good care of themselves. I have been having fun coloring with the https://www.thedailymarker.com/  Check out Kathy's website she has so many wonderful tips for when coloring. She is so talented. For my coloring today I choose to watercolor this adorable little jug and flower bouquet. It was a little bit of a struggle but I do like the way it finally turned out.

Some of the highlights got lost when I was water coloring and so I had to add them with my white chalk marker. I stamped the greeting with my stamp positioner because it is hard to get a solid image while stamping on water color paper. That really helps when you need to stamp an image several times. Both the sentiment and the images are from the country home stamp set. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you come back soon! Have a great weekend!

Wishing you well

The greeting on this card could be used for so many things! So it is a great one to have on hand when I need a card. I stamped and colored this little jug a while ago and so I decided to finally use it. I know I have said it before but I love the jugs in this stamp set, country home. They are really fun to color, watercolor or just stamp plain. The colors in the gather together dsp are so beautiful. Merry merlot was one color that surprised me. I thought I didn't need it until I used it.

I still had a few pumpkins sitting on my desk and so that made my design job a little easier. Do you stamp things, color them and then not use them? I have a little container on my desk with lots of bits and pieces and sometimes it is fun to create cards with those. So today take some of those pieces on your desk and create a card. It feels so good to use them up. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day! Enjoy!

Don't forget to order the December paper pumpkin, 13 sentiments and 12 cards! Everything right at your finger tips! Order by Nov. 10th!

If you would like a suite that will make crafting Christmas easier check out this one!

Still Thankful!

I am truly thankful for you today! I appreciate you taking time out of your shopping day and food coma to visit! I made a quick card with the inspiring iris stamp set. I had fun coloring this with my stampin blends! I really was not sure what I wanted to do with the design of this card so I kept it pretty simple.  Maybe I ate to much yesterday that my creative juices were all run out.

I did add shimmery crystal effects to the iris's and don't you just love the shine that it gives? I love everything sparkly and shiny!  I think the rest of the card is pretty self explanatory and so if you do have any questions I would love to hear them in the comments below.  Have a great day and go gets some deals and steals! Speaking of deals spoil yourself for all your hard work from Thanksgiving with the fabulous paper pumpkin for next month! Let me know if you have any questions!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome! Thank you for taking time out today to stop by! You might be stuffed with turkey and all the fixings and in a food coma. Or maybe you are getting ready for all the black Friday sale items you are going to be shopping for. Whatever you have planned I am so glad you are here today. I am so grateful for you! Grateful for the support that I have received and all the wonderful comments that you have left on my blog!

I wanted to share a quick little card that I created to send you! I have used a few techniques with this card. On the so saffron card stock I have sponged and used the subtle embossing folder after. For the leaves I stamped with momento ink and colored with stampin blends.

The sentiment I stamped with versamark and white heat embossed and then die cut with the stitch rectangles.

Happy Thanksgiving! Know that I am so thankful for all of you! My last 20 plus years of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator have been a blessing in my life. That is due to the fact that I have meet wonderful people like you! Have a happy, blessed day! God bless!

Country home flowers

Welcome!  So glad you are here! Sometimes I forget that I can just use the flowers from a stamp set and not use the container that they are intended to go in. So for this card I decided to just use the flowers.

I made this card for a stamp challenge but missed the deadline, sometimes life just gets to crazy! I water colored this flower bundle. After it dried I fussy cut it out and used this adorable hello label to anchor the flowers down.

I love the texture that the pinewood embossing folder give to a card and I thought this card needed just a little bit more of something, What do you think? Thank you for coming by! Have a wonderful day!12.01.19_BANNER_PAPERPUMPKIN_DEC_NA

Freshly Made Sketches #412

I have been really in a stamping slump lately and so when I find that happens I like to check out all the challenges that I know about. What do you do? So for this sketch I think I really stretched the original sketch. This is such a great sketch and the possibilities are endless with it!

I like to color when I am not feeling very creative and so the country home stamp set is a great set to color. I used my stampin blends for the coloring of this project and used my chalk marker to make a few high lights. I used the sentiment from the painted harvest stamp set and embossed it in gold on black card stock.

I would love to know what stamp challenges you like to visit! Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful and blessed day!

GDP #214

Welcome to my blog, I am so happy that you have taken time out of your day to visit! The card I created today was for the Global Design Project Challenge. This is a really fun sketch! I am in full fall mode these days and just can't create enough cards of thanks. I think that I like to create thank you cards more than any others. I love to let people know that I am so grateful for them and there kindness.

The new basic pattern decorative mask pack (stencil) that Stampin' Up has in the holiday catalog has great images. I love this one that resembles leaves to me. I couldn't wait to sponge it with some beautiful fall colors.  The large leaf in the gather together stamp set looks so beautiful and bold when embossed. I used the silver embossing powder for this one and then used the same colors to sponge for a quick pop of color to this leaf.

I used a 21/4 inch circle to punch out a background for my leaf in early espresso and then used the pinewood plank embossing folder to add some texture to the circle. This greeting is one of my favorite from the country home stamp set. It fits so nicely in one of the rectangle stitched dies. Thankful for you and I really appreciate you visiting my blog.  Have a beautiful and thankful week!

Another take on emboss resist!

Aren't these leaves beautiful stamped and embossed in silver and gold? I have been on a kick to make beautiful, quick cards! Don't get me wrong I do love to spend time creating elaborate cards yet lately my stamping mojo has been nonexistent. So when that happens I like to go back to the basics. If I try to hard to make a card with several layers I just feel like it just is not coming together. I stamped  and embossed each leaf separately so that the embossing powders did not mix.

Once again, since I still had the fall colors out I used them. This greeting is one of my favorites! It is from the country home stamp set. It is such a great reminder to just be thankful. Thankful for all the stamps that I have to create with, thankful for all the coloring mediums that I have and the hands and fingers to create with. Also, thankful for eyes that I can see all the beautiful colors that God has created in nature to enjoy. All things that God creates are good and
I am so thankful! I am also so thankful for you coming to visit my blog and for all the amazing friends that I have met in this crafting industry! Enjoy! Have a great week!

Birch trees

The birch trees from the winter woods stamp set are so beautiful! I could resist (haha get the play on words) using it embossed in white! I used the crumb cake cardstock for the base. I wanted the trees to pop even more and so I sponged crumb cake ink first and then because that was not enough of a pop I used espresso ink. That gave me the pop that I was looking for.
Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to read.  Let me know what you think of my birch trees.

Enjoy and blessings for a beautiful day!

The last day of September?

Are you tired of looking at another card with the gather together stamp set? I promise I will get to more stamp sets. I have been getting so much inspiration from this set and I can think of a million ideas. Hopefully you are inspired as well.

Aren't the colors on this card so beautiful? I just love them! I was so excited when I saw the twine in the same color and so I had to fit a little piece in!

Do you recognize the greeting? Well part of the greeting? It is from the country home set, I just used my black marker to use part of the sentiment and it fit so nicely on the stitched label die.

The background was done on watercolor paper with razzleberry, pumpkin and grapefruit. I then stamped the large leaf a few times after it had dried. I love all the layers of color! Thank you for visiting my blog and I would love any comment you might have! Have a blessed day and enjoy!

If you are like most of us and so busy during the holidays you will want to get the paper pumpkin to make fun holiday cards and tags. Everything comes with the kit and so all you have to do is enjoy the crafting time with friends and family! No commitment is necessary. You can just sign up for one month if you would like. Let me know if you have any questions!

Harvest Blessings for Freshly Made Sketches #400

Today I created a card for the Freshly Made Sketches card challenge. I frequently go on to their website and am inspired by their amazing design team but this is the first time I have actually submitted something. I loved the sketch for this weeks challenge as well as so excited for them to have reached a 400 sketch milestone. Way to go!

Isn't this just the sweetest little jug?  I love any type of a container in my stamp sets. The fun is always seeing what you can put in the container. This little jug is from the Country Home stamp set. I just adore this set. It has amazing images as well as beautiful sentiments.

Since the new Stampin' Up! holiday catalog has just been released I have been really in the mood to create fall cards.  I think they are my favorite to make with Christmas a close second.  I love the fall colors!

I had water colored one of the bouquets of flowers from the stamp set to originally place in the jug but then saw the small flowers from the bird ballad DSP and knew I had to use them. I had so much fun creating my own flower bouquet, although realized I don't really know how to arrange flowers so I just winged it.

For the background strip I used the pinewood planks embossing folder and swiped it with my crumb cake ink before running it through my machine. It really makes the groves stand out.

Do you have any ideas of what I can put in the little jug next?  I would love any comments you might have. Have a great weekend and go check out the fabulous website, freshly made sketches and thank you for stopping by! Enjoy!
