Wishing you well

The greeting on this card could be used for so many things! So it is a great one to have on hand when I need a card. I stamped and colored this little jug a while ago and so I decided to finally use it. I know I have said it before but I love the jugs in this stamp set, country home. They are really fun to color, watercolor or just stamp plain. The colors in the gather together dsp are so beautiful. Merry merlot was one color that surprised me. I thought I didn't need it until I used it.

I still had a few pumpkins sitting on my desk and so that made my design job a little easier. Do you stamp things, color them and then not use them? I have a little container on my desk with lots of bits and pieces and sometimes it is fun to create cards with those. So today take some of those pieces on your desk and create a card. It feels so good to use them up. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day! Enjoy!

Don't forget to order the December paper pumpkin, 13 sentiments and 12 cards! Everything right at your finger tips! Order by Nov. 10th!

If you would like a suite that will make crafting Christmas easier check out this one!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome! Thank you for taking time out today to stop by! You might be stuffed with turkey and all the fixings and in a food coma. Or maybe you are getting ready for all the black Friday sale items you are going to be shopping for. Whatever you have planned I am so glad you are here today. I am so grateful for you! Grateful for the support that I have received and all the wonderful comments that you have left on my blog!

I wanted to share a quick little card that I created to send you! I have used a few techniques with this card. On the so saffron card stock I have sponged and used the subtle embossing folder after. For the leaves I stamped with momento ink and colored with stampin blends.

The sentiment I stamped with versamark and white heat embossed and then die cut with the stitch rectangles.

Happy Thanksgiving! Know that I am so thankful for all of you! My last 20 plus years of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator have been a blessing in my life. That is due to the fact that I have meet wonderful people like you! Have a happy, blessed day! God bless!

Almost Thanksgiving!

Just a quick post today! I am sure you are busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and so I wanted to thank you for stopping by today! I had die cut a bunch of leaves from the gather together dies and wanted to make a card with them. I love the texture in the gather together DSP and the texture on the leaves is also beautiful!

I added some of the wink of stella pen in the grooves of the leaves. This really made them pop and shine!

For the sentiment I white heat embossed on black card stock. Using the large rectangle stitched die I cut out the dsp. Fun, quick and simple card! Just in time to give to someone for Thanksgiving! Have a great day and thanks again for stopping by!

Missed it again

Hi and thank you for joining me today! Well I originally made this card for a card challenge but missed the deadline.  I am not sure where time goes. But I thought that I would share the card anyway.  The colors in the gather together designer series paper are colors that I would not usually use, so they are great to encourage me to try something different.

I love pear pizzazz and mint macaron but probably would not have put them together, so this was a really fun card to make. I like that Stampin' Up has stampin' blends that coordinate with the paper. The coordination of all the product is one of the things that I really like about this company. It takes the guess work out when trying to make the card match. I am hoping to make a few more cards this week with the fall theme and then it will be all Christmas cards. How many cards do you make? Thank you again for joining me today! Just a quick reminder that the paper pumpkin for next month will be a winner! 13 different sentiments and everything to make 12 cards! I always love a great sentiment! And I really like to have many options when I am making a card. If you have any questions regarding paper pumpkin let me know in the comments! Have a great day!

Thankful!

So thankful for you coming by today! Welcome! I had so much fun making this card! I started with watercolor paper and white heat embossed the leaf from the gather together stamp set. I used the wet on wet technique with this leaf. I used my aquapainter and put clear water all over inside the leaf. I then dropped in ink picked up with a good deal of water from the aquapainter. I used a few different fall colors and then let it dry. I used old olive the same way (wet on wet) around the leaf.

I used the shimmery crystal effects to make little water-looking drops. I had a hard time getting a picture of this but I love how it turned out. Top upper left corner of the picture. Give it a try!

I also added a few to the bottom corner. Thank you so much for spending your time checking out my card. I hope you have learned some things to try on your own cards! Have  great day!
Also, it is the last day of the sale!  You will not want to miss out!

Just add ink challenge #482

I know with the Christmas season quickly approaching that I will have to put away my fall colors, so I am taking advantage of every last minute to play with them. For today I played along with the Just Add Ink challenge! I added a lot of elements to this card, but I just couldn't help myself.

Typically I like to keep my cards pretty simple and clean, yet this card just keep evolving! I stamped the flowers from the floral essence stamp set and used watercolored pencils ( without water) to add a little shading. I love how Kathy Racoosin from the daily marker challenge uses pencils to enhance her stamped images. (Her work is amazing!) Check her out here https://www.thedailymarker.com/

The greeting is from the free as a bird stamp set and I think it is such a beautiful thing to say to so many people in my life. I used some of the leaves from the gather together bundle and shimmery crystal effects for the center of the flowers, however it really I did not take a good photo to show it. Don't miss out on the sale going on right now with Stampin' Up and if you do not have a demonstrator I would love to help you. Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Another thankful box

A quick post to share another pizza box that I created with the gather together stamp set and designer series paper.

I added the die from the lily pad lake dies to add a little behind the pumpkins. I think I will put some tea packets in this pizza box to give away!
Just a few days till this amazing sale! You will not want to miss 15% off of select items. Let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you for visiting my blog! Have a beautiful day! Enjoy!

Gather Together

The color combo that the designer used for the gather together paper is some of my favorite Stampin' Up colors!  The base for this card is merry merlot and I die cut the leaves in cajun craze, blackberry bliss and pumpkin pie.

Here is a close up of the leaves. I first cut them out with the dies (which it also embosses) and then rubbed my versamark ink pad across the leaf and embossed with clear and copper embossing powders. The dimension that it added is so pretty in person. (hard to get a good photo) I love to add texture to cards and the basket weave embossing folder is such a quick and inexpensive pop of texture. I am so grateful that you have taken time out of your busy day to visit and look at my card.  Thank you and have a great blessed day!

Thankful box

Hi and welcome to my blog today!  I hope you are having a great week! I wanted to share a quick little gift that I made with the pizza box and the gather together stamp set.  This time of year I like to have gifts made so that when I need a quick gift I have them all ready to go.  These little pizza boxes are great for small candles, candy and individual packets of flavored tea.  (and who wouldn't want to get any of those)

The entire gather together suite is so easy to use. I love the colors that the designer series paper is created with and the patterns are all so fun! I used the stitched label die for the base of the pumpkins, this die really makes a great base for any image. It is a go to for me when I want to add a little bit of stitching and interest to the background. I also like the way that it cuts out parts as well as adds stitching to the design. What is your go to for quick easy interest to a card? I hope this box gives you some inspiration to create a few gifts to have on hand for giving this Thanksgiving season! Thank you for visiting me and have a thankful day!

GDP #214

Welcome to my blog, I am so happy that you have taken time out of your day to visit! The card I created today was for the Global Design Project Challenge. This is a really fun sketch! I am in full fall mode these days and just can't create enough cards of thanks. I think that I like to create thank you cards more than any others. I love to let people know that I am so grateful for them and there kindness.

The new basic pattern decorative mask pack (stencil) that Stampin' Up has in the holiday catalog has great images. I love this one that resembles leaves to me. I couldn't wait to sponge it with some beautiful fall colors.  The large leaf in the gather together stamp set looks so beautiful and bold when embossed. I used the silver embossing powder for this one and then used the same colors to sponge for a quick pop of color to this leaf.

I used a 21/4 inch circle to punch out a background for my leaf in early espresso and then used the pinewood plank embossing folder to add some texture to the circle. This greeting is one of my favorite from the country home stamp set. It fits so nicely in one of the rectangle stitched dies. Thankful for you and I really appreciate you visiting my blog.  Have a beautiful and thankful week!

Another take on emboss resist!

Aren't these leaves beautiful stamped and embossed in silver and gold? I have been on a kick to make beautiful, quick cards! Don't get me wrong I do love to spend time creating elaborate cards yet lately my stamping mojo has been nonexistent. So when that happens I like to go back to the basics. If I try to hard to make a card with several layers I just feel like it just is not coming together. I stamped  and embossed each leaf separately so that the embossing powders did not mix.

Once again, since I still had the fall colors out I used them. This greeting is one of my favorites! It is from the country home stamp set. It is such a great reminder to just be thankful. Thankful for all the stamps that I have to create with, thankful for all the coloring mediums that I have and the hands and fingers to create with. Also, thankful for eyes that I can see all the beautiful colors that God has created in nature to enjoy. All things that God creates are good and
I am so thankful! I am also so thankful for you coming to visit my blog and for all the amazing friends that I have met in this crafting industry! Enjoy! Have a great week!

Finally back

Hi stampers! I am sorry for my lack of blogging lately, my mom has been in need of my help and so family duties have taken my time. But I am back! So excited for the daily marker 30 color challenge. My challenge to myself is to relax through my coloring! I love anything that has color, markers, pencils, paints, etc. My happy place is creating! I am really loving the fall color scheme right now.

Fall colors are so warm and inviting! The large leaf in the gather together stamp set is a great size for watercoloring.  I stamped in versamark ink on watercolor paper and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I added some dazzling diamonds to my gold embossing powder to add extra sparkle.

Unfortunately this picture does not show the amazing sparkle that is achieved with the glitter added. I did a quick wash of color into each leaf. I thought about adding a second layer of color after it had dried but I really liked the way the colors bleed into each other and so I decided to leave it.

I contemplated so many different ideas for the greeting and then just decided to keep it a plain and simple one layer card by stamping the greeting in old olive on the watercolor paper.  I suggest a stamp aligning tool for stamping a greeting on watercolor paper.  Since the paper is so textured you will need to stamp it a few times to get good coverage.  Thank you for visiting my blog and let me know what you think of my fall card.  Do you think that I should have added another layer of color? Enjoy and have a blessed weekend!
