Wishing you well

The greeting on this card could be used for so many things! So it is a great one to have on hand when I need a card. I stamped and colored this little jug a while ago and so I decided to finally use it. I know I have said it before but I love the jugs in this stamp set, country home. They are really fun to color, watercolor or just stamp plain. The colors in the gather together dsp are so beautiful. Merry merlot was one color that surprised me. I thought I didn't need it until I used it.

I still had a few pumpkins sitting on my desk and so that made my design job a little easier. Do you stamp things, color them and then not use them? I have a little container on my desk with lots of bits and pieces and sometimes it is fun to create cards with those. So today take some of those pieces on your desk and create a card. It feels so good to use them up. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day! Enjoy!

Don't forget to order the December paper pumpkin, 13 sentiments and 12 cards! Everything right at your finger tips! Order by Nov. 10th!

If you would like a suite that will make crafting Christmas easier check out this one!

Still Thankful!

I am truly thankful for you today! I appreciate you taking time out of your shopping day and food coma to visit! I made a quick card with the inspiring iris stamp set. I had fun coloring this with my stampin blends! I really was not sure what I wanted to do with the design of this card so I kept it pretty simple.  Maybe I ate to much yesterday that my creative juices were all run out.

I did add shimmery crystal effects to the iris's and don't you just love the shine that it gives? I love everything sparkly and shiny!  I think the rest of the card is pretty self explanatory and so if you do have any questions I would love to hear them in the comments below.  Have a great day and go gets some deals and steals! Speaking of deals spoil yourself for all your hard work from Thanksgiving with the fabulous paper pumpkin for next month! Let me know if you have any questions!

Missed it again

Hi and thank you for joining me today! Well I originally made this card for a card challenge but missed the deadline.  I am not sure where time goes. But I thought that I would share the card anyway.  The colors in the gather together designer series paper are colors that I would not usually use, so they are great to encourage me to try something different.

I love pear pizzazz and mint macaron but probably would not have put them together, so this was a really fun card to make. I like that Stampin' Up has stampin' blends that coordinate with the paper. The coordination of all the product is one of the things that I really like about this company. It takes the guess work out when trying to make the card match. I am hoping to make a few more cards this week with the fall theme and then it will be all Christmas cards. How many cards do you make? Thank you again for joining me today! Just a quick reminder that the paper pumpkin for next month will be a winner! 13 different sentiments and everything to make 12 cards! I always love a great sentiment! And I really like to have many options when I am making a card. If you have any questions regarding paper pumpkin let me know in the comments! Have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches #412

I have been really in a stamping slump lately and so when I find that happens I like to check out all the challenges that I know about. What do you do? So for this sketch I think I really stretched the original sketch. This is such a great sketch and the possibilities are endless with it!

I like to color when I am not feeling very creative and so the country home stamp set is a great set to color. I used my stampin blends for the coloring of this project and used my chalk marker to make a few high lights. I used the sentiment from the painted harvest stamp set and embossed it in gold on black card stock.

I would love to know what stamp challenges you like to visit! Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful and blessed day!

Gather together for GDP #208

I am really into the fall cards right now and so when I decided to join in the new global design project challenge I had to use the gather together bundle. This week is was CAS(E) the designer.

Isn't this card adorable created by the super talented Krista Frattin and what a fun design to play with. I sure hope that I did her original justice.

I used my blends to color this leaf all the beautiful colors of fall. I really think that fall is my favorite season. Also take a look at the detail in the smaller leaves, isn't it gorgeous!

I went with a light watercolor wash for the background and then added a few extra speckles with the dot stamp in the set. I couldn't resist adding a few of the new holiday rhinestones when I saw that they have pumpkin pie as one of the colors.

Hope you are finding time to make a few fall cards! I would love to know what sets are your favorite! Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed and beautiful week! Enjoy!

What color pumpkin do you like?

So what color pumpkins are your favorite? I love the soft colors of these ones that I made with my mint macaron and crumb cake stampin blends.  And can I say how much I LOVE this new stamp set, gather together from the new holiday catalog! I love that it has pumpkins and fall leaves. I have so many ideas running through my head of what to make, I can't make them fast enough. Do you ever get so overwhelmed with new things and then don't know where to start.

Well, I am excited to share with you the ideas that I have been coming up with!
This card I kept pretty simple and I had to much fun creating. Let me know what element you like best? Of course I love the pumpkins but I am really enjoying the wood plank on the die from the stitched labels dies. It adds to much texture and I am all about texture especially for the fall.  If you do not have a copy of the new holiday catalog let me know and I would love to send one out to you. Thanks for visiting my site! I really appreciate the time you have taken to check out what I have created. Plus, I really would like to know what color pumpkins you like? Enjoy and have a blessed day!

Harvest Blessings!

Do you love the fall colors?  I love them all! To me they all just bring a warmth to my heart!  Maybe it is because it reminds me of all the time I will spend with my family during the holidays! How about you?
For this card, I used a great combo of pumpkin pie, so saffron and cajun craze. They all go together so wonderfully! When I was looking up fall leaves on google this was the most common color combo so I decided to try it out with my stampin blends. This leaf is from the gather together bundle in the new catalog. What an amazing bundle it is!

I love that you can stamp the leaf and then use the dies to cut it out or if you would like just cut the out line of the leaf out.  So many possibilities for this stamp set. I have a feeling it will be a big seller.

Let me know what your favorite fall color combo is?  If you have time leave me a comment below. I would love to hear from you! Thank you for visiting my blog and have a happy harvest blessing! Enjoy!

CAS(E) this sketch! #338

Just a quick post today. I joined in on the fun over at the CAS(E) this sketch challenge. They have a really cute sketch and I love what the design team has done to showcase it! I used the lilypad lake stamp set. I also used one of the color combos that Stampin' Up gave us in a list of great color combos. If you would like the list let me know and I send it out to you.  The color combo I used was pool party, pacific point and mossy meadow. This was a huge stretch for me because I would not use these colors together. But I love how it turned out.

Click here to check them out!

Give this fun sketch a try. Have a great day and thank you so much for visiting my blog! I would love if you left a comment! Thank you! Enjoy!

Global Design Project #205

Do you ever feel like you get in the same color rut?  I do and so when I saw the color challenge over at the GDP I decided to give it a try. Color challenges have always scared me. I am not really sure why. Maybe because sometime it is a color combo out of my comfort zone. So I am really excited that I did this one.

                                                                Check out their blog!

I used stampin' blends for my coloring of these adorable little birds, in what I like to call the highlighting technique. I stamped the image with momento black ink then die cut it with the stitched nested labels. Then I used the smallest of the circles in the stitched shapes die for the center part. As you can tell I was really into all my stitched dies, I also used the largest rectangle for the mint macaron layer.

Not really sure that there are birds this color in real life but since it is my work of art I took liberty of creative license on this one. Make some time this weekend and give the color challenge a try.  It also helps to pull you out of creative ruts. (Which I also have been having lately)
Keep in your prayers all those affected by hurricane Dorian!  All those in the Bahamas that are without there families and homes. Also to all those on the East Coast of the US I am keeping you in my prayers for safety! It is times like these that I am so grateful for all the family and faith that I have. God bless you all!

Enjoy Just Add Ink #472

Isn't technology crazy? My little crafty brain has a hard time wrapping my mind around the whole world wide web (as they used to call it, maybe I am dating myself). The challenge that I submitted today is from  a group of stampers from Australia.  Isn't that just so cool! I am all the way in Southern California! Amazing! I just recently found their website and I am so glad that I did!

Isn't this a fun challenge?  I always love finding new layouts for making cards. I find that I tend to use the same few layouts so frequently. This one was very different then my usual style. That is another reason why challenges are great opportunity to grow.

The flowers I put in this cute little tea cup are from the bird ballad DSP.  I cut out the flowers that were on the edge of the paper and they fit beautifully into the rim of the cup. So don't throw away those little scraps on the ends.  ( Confession. Can you tell that I have a hard time throwing things out?) It actually becomes quite addicting when you start cutting the paper apart.  I have been using these flowers on everything lately. Join in the fun and check out the great just add ink website! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!  And I would love any comments and letting me know where you are joining me from. Enjoy!

Light and fluffy clouds

I needed a box for a small gift and so I turned to the cute little pizza boxes from Stampin' Up! I love the cute shape and the convenience of them already to use, just a few simple folds and you have the box assembled. I had colored, with my stampin blends, this bird a few days ago and thoughts it was the perfect size to go on my box.

After I had put the box together I realized that the upper left corner needed something. I tried a sentiment and many other things but it all was just too much. I had the idea to add a few clouds but wasn't sure how. I did not want to add embossing paste because I thought that would also be to heavy for that corner. Then I had the idea to use my cloud stencil with my colorless blender. I loved it!

Because the colorless blender pushes the color over and makes it lighter the cloud effect was beautiful and just what I wanted, light and fluffy clouds. I am sure that I am not the first person to think of this idea but, I was really excited when I did. I know that the photos are not the best, I tried to get the best shot that I could. I finished the box with using dimensionals on the flowers and the enjoy banner from the country home stamp set.

I kept the box pretty simple other than the main panel. Sometimes you have to look through your supplies and see what might work. Remembering that it is only paper and you can try over if you don't like the results.  You might come up with a result that you are really happy with, like I did today. I would love to hear what things you have discovered while creating. I hope you give my clouds a try. I think that you will really like them. I know that I will try this again with other images and see what other  results I can come up with. Let me know what you think of my pizza box?  Enjoy!

Only a few days left to both of these deals.  Let me know if you need any help or have any questions!
