Freshly Made Sketches #417

This designer series paper is so pretty and FREE!  I have been waiting to use it and when I saw this sketch over at freshly made sketches I had an idea to pair it with the lilypad lake stamp set from the annual catalog. 

But as I so often do I missed the deadline to submit it to the website. I always forget about the time changes and since I am in Southern California I loose track of the time. I still wanted to share the card. 

This dsp has so many colors and I was not sure which color really stood out to me. Since I love blackberry bliss and couldn't resist using it! The lily pad images are nice and quick to color since they are small and there is a coordinating die to cut the them out. I also like the grassy die that I used in the background. The sentiment in this set is still one of my favorite. I feel like any time I can send loving thoughts and prayers to someone that is a good thing! TGIF Challenge # 246

What a fun sketch!  I couldn't help playing. I had so many ideas that flooded my mind when I saw this. I settled on the we'll walrus be friends set.  He is just the sweetest little guy. The high tide embossing folder that has wave looking embossed shapes looks great. After running a piece of balmy blue in the folder I used a sponge dauber with white ink and lightly swiped across the raised edges and then went through with a different dauber with balmy blue ink to try and get even more dimension.

It is was very hard to get a good picture of the ink on the waves. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of country club designer series paper. Then using the rectangle stitched dies and cutting them apart to place on each side of the walrus stamp that was die cut on the nested stitched.

I had fun coloring with my stampin blends and finished with a little bit of polka dot tulle ribbon and silver thread. I really had a lot of fun creating this card. Bonanza!

I can't stop creating cards with this stamp set! These little critters are so addicting. Aren't they just the cutest!  The dies that cut all the images out makes it even more fun, saves me from fussy cutting which I am not too good at.  

I used the colors that are in the designer series paper, made it easy to find a combo that works. I used the circle stencil with a sponge dauber.  Thank you for visiting my site. Toucan party

Hi and so glad you stopped by today!  Thank you for taking time out to see what I have created today.  I have been playing with my new birthday bonanza bundle again. It has so many options and I keep coming up with new ideas. For today's card I had to use this cute little toucan. I punched out a starburst piece of the designer series paper from this suite to create a backdrop for my little guy.

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple by adding a birthday hat in same colors as his nose.  After stamping them in daffodil delight I colored over them with the calypso coral watercolor pencil. This set has some great sentiments that are perfect for any age birthday card you may need. Thank you again for checking out my blog and I hope you come back soon to see another stamped idea.

Celebrate you!

This color makes me so happy!  I love the bold colors in the birthday bonanza suite.  The base of this card is grapefruit grove. That is a color I do not tend to use often, but I sure will now.  One of the nice things about getting a pack of the designer series paper is the color combo. It is figured out for you and I then find I use colors that I might not normally use.  Bermuda bay is another color I really like however I do not tend to use it often either. So this card really pushed me to make a card that was a little out of comfort zone.

When you create today use some color that you have not used in a while. It really is a fun way to find new joy! Isn't this little koala the most darling image. I feel in love with the birthday bonanza from the start. I think it is my favorite suite in the new catalog. I kept the first card kinda simple.

The set has many images in it that you are able to use when making a card. The animals all have separate stamps for the faces and since it is a photopolymer set it makes stamping them a breeze.
