Freshly Made Sketches #427

How is everyone doing with all the craziness in our world these days? I hope you are all staying healthy and enjoying time at home to finally get done all the things done we always say we don't have time for.  I have been enjoying stamping and all the challenges online. One of my favorite is the freshly made sketches website. Check them out here!

This is such a clean and simple sketch! One that I know I will use over and over. It is especially good with little strips of dsp scraps that you might have on your desk. (I have way too many!)

I thought I would make a card for healing today since so many now a days are getting sick. Also, some are needing spiritual healing going through these trying times.  I had fun coloring with my stampin blends. That is one way of healing therapy for me. Plus I love the color challenge of the daily marker!  Thankful for coloring and my stamp hobby at this time. Time for me to do something that I feel is rewarding, making and sending cards to those in need.  Have a beautiful day, find things to be grateful for and stamp and color a fun card today! Don't forget to send out a few of those cards also! Make someones day, especially those elderly! Stay healthy and wash your hands!

Father's day

Hi my friends! So glad you are here! Today I wanted to play with the country club designer series paper. I love plaids and argyles, this paper does not disappoint. The colors are great for masculine cards. A nice Father's day card is what first came to mind. Since I did not have a stamp for Father's day I used my stash of paper pumpkin stamps.  These stamps come in handy when I need a greeting that I don't have. Most of the kits have a few different sayings, so it is a great variety.  I keep them stored in a few of the full wide stamp cases. I have them labels with holiday, birthday and thank you. That makes it much easier when trying to find a stamp.
The koala from the bonanza buddies stamp set is one of my favorite and so I thought he would be cute on the card and went well with the grey argyle paper.
Order your own paper pumpkin today and you will be so happy you did. It comes with all the supplies to make adorable cards, an ink spot and a cute stamp set.  The next kit promises cards for those you love. Check it out below. If you have any questions let me know and I would love to help you.
Have a great day and I hope you visit again soon. Remember sale a bration is wrapping up at the end of the month and so place your orders soon!

Watercolor flowers

Hi! I hope everyone is staying healthy and taking good care of themselves. I have been having fun coloring with the https://www.thedailymarker.com/  Check out Kathy's website she has so many wonderful tips for when coloring. She is so talented. For my coloring today I choose to watercolor this adorable little jug and flower bouquet. It was a little bit of a struggle but I do like the way it finally turned out.

Some of the highlights got lost when I was water coloring and so I had to add them with my white chalk marker. I stamped the greeting with my stamp positioner because it is hard to get a solid image while stamping on water color paper. That really helps when you need to stamp an image several times. Both the sentiment and the images are from the country home stamp set. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you come back soon! Have a great weekend!

Bird ballad dsp

About a week ago I saw this sketch on the freshly made sketches website and thought it was so fun. I had made a ink blended panel with night of navy, that I ran through with the high seas embossing folder. I used the opposite side of the folder, like I did in a previous card, because it reminds me of clouds.

For the bird I just fussy cut a piece of the bird ballad dsp.  The birds on this paper are gorgeous!  If you are ever in a creative slump check out one of the many stamp challenge blogs. They always have amazing sketches or color combos to get the creative juices flowing.  Have a great day and I hope you come back and visit soon!

Sunday stampers #226

Isn't this a fun sketch? I really like a new idea for a card because I feel like I tend to always go for the same or similar design. What about you? Check out the Sunday stampers blog, the designers really did a beautiful job with this sketch.  Lately I have been using a lot more of flirty flamingo. It is not a super bright color but also not as soft as blushing bride.

To get the scripty embossing folder to really pop I swiped my white ink pad across it a few times. I really love this soft look. The stamp set I used was floral essence and I colored it with my stampin blends. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my card. I really appreciate your feedback and hope you come back real soon. Stay healthy and keep coloring!
Don't forget sale a bration is only till the end of March. You don't want to miss out. Also, don't forget about the coordination products below. They have some really great dies.

Which do you like best?

I am not sure what element I like best in this card, the designer paper, the sentiment and die shape, the ribbon or the jewels? Pretty sure it is all of them.  I also like them all together! And what a simple card on top of it.

This ribbon is so soft and easy to work with, not bulky at all. Love that!

The little from my heart faceted gems are such a fun element to add to the card. It was hard to get a picture to really show them off, but in person they are so sparkly! I really hope they put these in the future catalogs. The ones I used on this card are the white (they also come in flirty flamingo and real red) and it is great how they pick up the colors from the card.
Thank you for stopping by today and checking out this card. I thought it would make a beautiful wedding card.  What occasion do you think would be best? Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank You!

I can't thank you enough for visiting my blog! I love sharing the cards I make but I always struggle with what to write on my blog. I would love any advise you have. Do I write to much? Not enough? More details? More about me? Let me know because I want you to enjoy your time here and come back. I love the sentiments in the new sentiment set, so sentimental stamp set (how many times can I say sentiment) I used the stitched shapes to cut this out.

I used the subtle embossing folder on the best dressed dsp to add just a little more texture. I think it is really fun to use embossing folders on dsp. Give it a try! This paper is so gorgeous that I did not want to add much for that would distract from it. Let me know what you do when you have a beautiful paper? Do you add a lot of elements or keep it simple?  Have a great day and I would love any comments you would have!
