Sunshine on a cloudy day!

Well I originally made this card for the challenge, however time got away from me and I missed entering it. But I thought that I would still share this fun card. This was a  color challenge which is always a struggle for me. Check TGIF out here!

I had fun using a few retiring products on this card.  Have a great day and I will be back soon with another fun card! Stay healthy! Blessings!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Hi Friends!  Thank you for stopping by!  Happy Cinco de Mayo and have a taco for Tuesday!! (I would eat tacos everyday if I could!) My card today is another quick and simple card.  I love all the stencils that Stampin' Up offers and so I had to play with one for a fun card. The ink I used was granny apple green and balmy blue. The key I have found when ink blending is to go slow and very soft! No pressure!  Let the ink do the work for you.

The sentiment and die are from the stitched all around and stitched labels (so sad these are retiring!) I used a little piece of the white polka dot ribbon and a few glitter enamel drops. I really like the look that blending on the white card stock gives such a clean and crisp look. Give this a try and let me know what color combos you like for blending! Have a blessed and safe week.  Keep healthy and stamp! Thank you for coming by!

Thank you to all the videos and blogs!

Hi! Today's card was inspired by a video I saw a while back from Kelly Latevola at You and Your Big Dreams. If you have not seen her videos and card you are missing out!  She is amazing and her storytime during her videos is something I look forward to!  Love her! I watched her do a card like this one a while back and I just had to recreate it with the stamps that I had. (sorry I do not know when it was but all her cards and videos are amazing- you will be hooked!)

Granted her card is so much better, but I do like this card and the way that it turned out. The best part was the fun I had while creating it! And isn't that what it is all about?

After stamping with staz on ink and a quick wash of water color with ink refills I used my stampin blends to add a little more detail.

The colors on this card make me so happy! They are so bright. The greeting is white heat embossed from the So Sentimental stamp set and I fussy cut out just the thank you part.  Thank you to all of those bloggers out there who have made my life so nice with amazing videos and classes! I really appreciate all your time and effort into making our lives creative and fun.  Nothing like sitting with a big cup of coffee a little (or a lot) of chocolate and watching videos. They make me so happy! I feel like I know so many of you out there. You are in my prayers and bring me joy. Thank you!

Ornate Style 3 Ways!

Hi and welcome! Happy Friday!  I have been busy playing with the ornate style stamp. If you follow me regularly you know how much I love to color and how much peace it brings me. However, I know many people out there do not have the same love. Or sometimes you just need a quick card or are mass producing cards. So I have taken the ornate flower bunch and shown a few cards you can make with quick or no coloring at all.

The first card is white heat embossed on vellum. To hide the adhesive I wrapped the vellum around a piece of bird ballad paper (I am going to really miss this paper). The greeting is from the free as a bird stamp set also embossed with white and die cut with stitched so sweetly.

I added a few pearls and mounted it on whisper white thick card stock.

The next card is also white heat embossed on white card stock and then colored with ink and sponge daubers. The background is basket weave ( also retiring) then greeting and die are from lilypad lake
(retiring)  and the bow is inspired by Tammy Wilson (https://stampspaperscissors.com/) Her bow creations are amazing.

The last card is white heat embossed on blackberry bliss card stock. I love how bright and bold this is! You can't tell from the picture but I added wink of stella to the flowers. In person such beautiful shimmer! The sentiment is from the winter woods stamp set.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I had so much fun making these cards. I love how each card makes the stamp look so different.  I hope you are all staying healthy and getting a few minutes to yourself to stamp.

Mojo Monday Sketch

HI! I hope everyone is staying healthy and getting in lot of time to stamp!  Are you tired of being stuck in the house yet?  I have not gotten to that point yet, I keep finding more and more fun stamp challenges online. Today is a new one that I found Mojo Monday How fun is a 3 card challenge! And I love that Julee put the measurements up for us as well.  Math and I do not get along.

I had a fun time creating these 3 cards. This has made me want to create more cards in a collection type series. I also like that the designer series paper is double sided and so I could just flip it and the colors all coordinated. I also like that the flower in this stamp set has 3 different layers that are great on their own or you can layer them.

All products used were Stampin' Up!
Stamps: To a Wild Rose
Ink and Paper: Neutral DSP, Blackberry bliss, Blushing bride, Smoky slate
Dies: Wild Rose
Stampin blends: Petal pink, Rococo rose, Flirty flamingo

I kept the cards pretty quick and easy! I think they make a really cute gift to give to someone. Now that I have these measurements I will be sure and use them in the future.  Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love any comments you might have.  Have a blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Hand stamped sentiments 337

Welcome to my blog!  So glad you are here!  I feel so bad for all the people that have or will have birthdays during the stay at home in place.  I know one thing I can do to make their day a little brighter is hand stamp them a cute little card, so they know that I was thinking of them. (plus it is better than going to a store and risking getting sick)
Over at the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog they have a fun inspiration board to get the creative mind working.

Isn't this so adorable! The balloon element really stood out to me and I thought of the birthday bonanza dsp. I made this card for my friend who loves dogs so I used the dog instead of the bonanza buddies.

Stampin' Up products used:
Stamps: Happy Tails, Bonanza Buddies
Dies: Bonanza, Stitched Shapes
Ink and Paper: Bonanza dsp, Calypso Coral, Momento Black Ink, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake

I am hoping that when my friend receives this card it will bring her joy on her special day! And to all of you who have had birthdays during the pandemic know that I am thinking of you. Send me your address and I would love to send you a card! Have a safe and happy day.  Remember to keep washing your hands and make a few cards to send others joy!

Beautiful birds

Hi friends! a quick post today to share a few quick and easy cards that I made with the free as a bird stamp set. This sketch is from Martin Mayhem's 30 day card making challenge. He has created 30 days of really fun card challenges.

For this card I used the sentiment from the inspiring iris stamp set and the pinewood plank embossing folder for the white background.

I colored the bird with stampin blends calypso coral and daffodil delight.

For the second card I used everything from the free as a bird bundle. I colored this bird with balmy blue stampin blends.

I have had a great time creating from the ideas that Martin listed on the 30 day challenge. I was hoping to create more however I ran out of time.  I will keep his list and refer to it often for inspiration.  Thank you so much to Martin for all the fun and creating this challenge.

GDP #237

Hi stamping friends! So glad you are here. Today I created my card from the fun color challenge over at Global Design Project Challenge. These colors are so pretty together and it was fun to use a color combo that really made me think.  Do you always reach for the same color combo? I know that I do.

For this card I used many retiring products, trying to give them some last minute love.  The products included:
Stamps: inspiring iris
Ink and paper: mint macaron, melon mambo, night of navy, whisper white and neutral dsp (retiring)
Dies: stitched labels (retiring), stitched rectangles
Other: basket weave embossing folder (retiring), solid white baker's twine
Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love any comments you might have and join in the fun over at the global design project blog.

Don't miss out on this fun paper pumpkin! Order by May 10th. Let me know if you have any questions.

TGIF challenge - Belly bands

Hi and welcome! So glad you are here! I hope you are doing well and staying healthy. I made a bunch of cards for one of my customers to thank her for her recent order and decided to put them in the acetate card holders. It is perfect fit for 5 cards and envelopes. I saw that TGIF challenges had for their technique week belly bands. Perfect, just what my little box needed. Since the cards were all from the free bird stamp set and dsp I continued with that dsp for the belly band part. I wanted a big greeting and so the so sentimental bundle was just right.

I used the stitched label die (so sad this is retiring!) to add a little more dimension added a little white ribbon and fussy cut a few flowers. Hopefully my customer will enjoy this nice little package. Check out the TGIF website and see all the fun designers belly bands. They are all so talented.  Thank you for stopping by and stay home and healthy!
