Hand stamped sentiments #335

Good morning!  I hope everyone is settling into the new normal, well at least for a little while hopefully. While all that is going on in the world can be scary, we have to have faith! I think that is the biggest thing that is important. God tells us over and over again to "be not afraid" His love will prevail! I am trying to enjoy this time in my stamp room, organizing, creating and even a big pile for donations.  If you know of anyone or any organization that would like some rubber, wood stamps I would love to get the address and ship them out.  Thank you!
On to the card. I love this sketch from the Hand stamped sentiments blog however, for some reason I really struggled getting all the elements just right. Not really loving this card but the more I look at it the more it grows on me.Here is the fun sketch below.

Many times I think I get most overwhelmed by which stamp set to use. I am blessed to have a pretty big supply of fun stamps to use and my mind gets to overly stimulated on which set. Does that ever happen to you? So I went with some elements that were on my desk that I had made for another project but didn't end up using. (the boats from the lily pad lake stamp set) As you can tell from the card I was really into texture for this card, I used 3 embossing folders, subtle, high seas and basket weave. I find when my card needs just a little something an embossing folder always helps. What do you reach for?

The sentiment was so perfect for the times we are all going through right now. I am going to be sending a bunch of cards out to friends and family that I am not able to see right now.  Giving them joy, hopefully and letting them know that I am thinking about them. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a marvelous day and send a little joy someones way. And don't forget to check out the amazing group of designers over at the hand stamped sentiments!
Tuesday is the last day to take part in the saleabration items. So do some social distancing shopping today!  Stay healthy!

Birthday card for a special friend!

I love the happy birthday to you stamp set! This is my favorite from the sale a bration offerings. (only a few days left so order now) I also love that they offered dies that to cut the images out. Wish they would have had one to cut out the "happy birthday" my fussy cutting lacks a little. I watercolored this card for one of longest and dearest stamp friends, Jill Pajaud! It is a big birthday for her this year! I am so grateful for meeting her through Stampin' Up! She and her family are such a blessing in my life. I wanted to make this card special because she is always the first person to always open her home to have stamp club! I have loved watching her family grow (wedding of her oldest son just recently)! She is always so compassionate and has the biggest heart I have ever witnessed! I feel so lucky to call her my friend!

I really took my time trying to watercolor this just right. I am sorry the photos are not the brightest. We have had a lot of cloudy days here in Southern California. I think my photography skills need some work. I had a lot of fun creating this with her in mind. I used ink refills and a paint brush with water to color the images. I couldn't help but add these beautiful little gems! They went perfect with the colors.

I am so thankful for the friends I have met through Stampin Up! People I would never had met otherwise.  They have all made such an incredible impact on my life! I could never thank them enough for all they have done for me.  Thank you Jill for being my friend and I look forward to many years of friendship with you! Happy Birthday! I hope you can spend it with your family either in person or virtually.

Friendship is a blessing!

Hello and so glad you are here!  I am posting a bright and sweet little card that I made with a few different stamp sets and supplies. I started to design this card around the sentiment. I really love this sentiment  from the so sentimental stamp set. Other supplies that I used were, stitched so sweetly dies, pinewood planks embossing folder, flowers from the free as a bird stamp set, bird ballad dsp and stampin blends to color the flowers.

I know that is a really long list of different products. It was just one of those cards that just kept evolving.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and curled the flowers to give a little added dimension.  You can't go wrong with any of the elements on this card.

All together I think the result is a beautiful card to send to a special friend! I would love to sent that card to YOU!  Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you come back soon!

TGIFC #256

Welcome! So glad you are here! How is everyone holding up. So weird that this is the way of life for all of us throughout the world. We can learn so much from this experience.
Today I have made a card for the TGIF challenge. See what their amazing designers created here!

All of the paper in this suite are so beautifully illustrated! The colors are so fun and girly! It was a tough decision which paper to use. I thought that the purse paper would go great with this classy lady from the beautiful you stamp set.

I went with the bright and gorgeous color of blackberry bliss for my focal image as well as the purse that I fussy cut.

I stamped the sentiment on vellum with the blackberry bliss ink. Make sure that you give the ink a long time to dry on the vellum or is will smear. I wrapped it around the nested stitched shape die so that I could hide the adhesive. Thank you so much for stopping by! Play along with the TGIF challenge blog. Stay healthy and together we will beat this! Enjoy the time you have been given to do all the things you have wanted to do around the house. Have a beautiful day!

Just a little less than a week away from sale abration ending. Get your orders in now to receive FREE product! Let me know if you have any questions.

CAS(E) this sketch #364

Hi! Is everyone staying healthy? I sure hope so! Is anyone tired of being inside all day? What a crazy time we are all living through right now. I am taking advantage of all the amazing stamp challenges out there. CAS(E) this sketch is one of my favorite.

Isn't this a fun new sketch? Love it!  This is what I created with it.

I will find any excuse to play with the bonanza buddies stamp set. I am especially particle to this adorable koala. I gave him a little bundle of balloons to give the card a little more color.

I white embossed the sentiment from the so sentimental stamp set and the confetti as well. Then I ran the piece through my die machine with the subtle embossing folder.

I also added a little blush (stampin blends) to my koala's cheeks. If you are looking for inspiration check out the designers from the blog. Play along! Have a great day and stay healthy and creative. Thank you for joining me today!

Stay inside and stamp!

Hi Everyone! I hope you are doing well and keeping busy in your day. My heart goes out to all the families with young children at home, keeping them on track with school work has to be a struggle. This isolation will make us all stronger humans. Since my kids are all adults now I have time to myself. So lately I have been having the debate, should I clean or stamp?  Well stamping continues to win most of the time. I have spent some time cleaning but not as much as I should. Today Stampin' Up announced that they are releasing a 3rd set of items for sale a bration. Can you believe only a week left for sale a bration?

Check out all the fun new additions. My favorite is the to a wild rose dies. There are so many great dies in this set.

Also, so excited for the announcement of the new paper pumpkin. Family! I love the idea of creating cards for my family. What a great time to sign up for paper pumpkin. Easy kits to create cards that you can send to people you are not able to see right now. So if you have time to create right now, remember to send your cards.

I made this quick and easy card as an example that you don't have to make elaborate cards all the time.  Use your paper, ink and stamps to create beautiful works of art. (With the addition of the sequins)

This card took me just about 15 minutes or less to create. I find simple cards kind of a challenge, but when I make them I remember that simple can be beautiful.  Have a great day and thank you so much for spending some of your day with me.  Stay healthy and take care of those around you!

Freshly Made Sketches #427

How is everyone doing with all the craziness in our world these days? I hope you are all staying healthy and enjoying time at home to finally get done all the things done we always say we don't have time for.  I have been enjoying stamping and all the challenges online. One of my favorite is the freshly made sketches website. Check them out here!

This is such a clean and simple sketch! One that I know I will use over and over. It is especially good with little strips of dsp scraps that you might have on your desk. (I have way too many!)

I thought I would make a card for healing today since so many now a days are getting sick. Also, some are needing spiritual healing going through these trying times.  I had fun coloring with my stampin blends. That is one way of healing therapy for me. Plus I love the color challenge of the daily marker!  Thankful for coloring and my stamp hobby at this time. Time for me to do something that I feel is rewarding, making and sending cards to those in need.  Have a beautiful day, find things to be grateful for and stamp and color a fun card today! Don't forget to send out a few of those cards also! Make someones day, especially those elderly! Stay healthy and wash your hands!

Father's day

Hi my friends! So glad you are here! Today I wanted to play with the country club designer series paper. I love plaids and argyles, this paper does not disappoint. The colors are great for masculine cards. A nice Father's day card is what first came to mind. Since I did not have a stamp for Father's day I used my stash of paper pumpkin stamps.  These stamps come in handy when I need a greeting that I don't have. Most of the kits have a few different sayings, so it is a great variety.  I keep them stored in a few of the full wide stamp cases. I have them labels with holiday, birthday and thank you. That makes it much easier when trying to find a stamp.
The koala from the bonanza buddies stamp set is one of my favorite and so I thought he would be cute on the card and went well with the grey argyle paper.
Order your own paper pumpkin today and you will be so happy you did. It comes with all the supplies to make adorable cards, an ink spot and a cute stamp set.  The next kit promises cards for those you love. Check it out below. If you have any questions let me know and I would love to help you.
Have a great day and I hope you visit again soon. Remember sale a bration is wrapping up at the end of the month and so place your orders soon!
