Christmas begins with Christ

Hi and welcome to another card in my quick and easy Christmas card series. Today's card turned out so pretty. Don't you love it when you create something and it surprises you and you end up liking it. I started with this greeting from the for unto us stamp set embossed in gold and cut it out using the stitched shape dies cut it out. I knew I wanted to use the forever gold laser cut dsp but I struggled with what to put behind it.

I always love dark colors behind and the neutral dsp had just the right color! A little piece of whisper white polka dot ribbon was just right because it didn't add a lot of thickness. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you share what you are making for your Christmas cards!
If you are struggling for ideas or would just like to create with everything done for you order the paper pumpkin today. You have until Nov. 10th to get this kit.

Never give up!

Hello stamping friends! So glad you here! Today's card was a little of a mess but I do like the way that it turned out in the end. I learned to not give up! I started with the winter woods stamp set embossed in white on watercolor paper. Using my water painters I added color with my reinkers. The colors were not exactly what I had in mind but I kept letting it dry between and adding more layers of color. At one point I almost was going to throw it away, but I kept trying. Finally, it looked pretty good to me.

I added some white ink splatter and also drops of water that I paper towel dried off to add some texture. In the end I think it is really a fun card. The background paper is from the snowflake spendor dsp and the greeting is from the for unto us stamp set which I white heat embossed. Thanks for stopping by. I really learned so much from this card, not to give up and how forgiving watercolor is. Have a blessed day!

Quick Ornament Card

Hi and welcome back to my series of quick and easy Christmas cards, that will be easy to duplicate to mail to family and friends. I started with brightly gleaming dsp, this ornament pattern is one of my favorite. I used the rectangle stitched dies for the sentiment, background layer and the ornament paper layer.

To make the sentiment pop a little more I used a piece of mossy meadow card stock cut with the stitched so sweetly dies. The sentiment is from the for unto us stamp set which I gold heat embossed. I love the rich colors of this card. So quick and easy. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back soon.  Let me know what you think of this card in the comments below. Have a blessed day!

Adore Him!

Hello and welcome to the quick and easy Christmas card series. Heat embossing is always a quick and easy technique!  This tree from the winter woods stamp set looks gorgeous heat embossed in gold.

The sentiment is from my favorite for unto us stamp set. I also gold heat embossed it and used the rectangle stitched dies to cut it out. The background layer is from the in good taste dsp. Such a fun textured looking paper.

The star was on my desk from another project that I did not use. It is from the peaceful nativity bundle. This die set has some great images and I love this star! Thank you for stopping by to see another one of my quick and easy Christmas cards. I hope this gives you some great inspiration to create today! Have a blessed day!

Happy Halloween

Hello, can you believe that it is almost Nov? Wow, where did October go? And what about Halloween? It will be so different this year, like everything else. So I have created a fun card with fall colors but not really something that would be considered Halloween. I white heat embossed the celebrate sunflower stamp set on watercolor paper and then used my water painters to add the color. I used reinkers for the color.

Remember to always let the paper dry between each layer of color, it helps to give it a depth of color.  Also remember to keep adding color till it looks like what you have envisioned. The calypso coral layer is embossed with the wood planks embossing folder and stamped the greeting. Have fun with the water painters and ink refills. Thank you for stopping by. Have a safe and healthy Halloween.

Holy Family

Hi stamping friends! For today's card I have spent a little more time on with the coloring of the Holy Family with stampin blends. The peaceful nativity stamp set has beautiful images. This stamp set pairs so well with the for unto us stamps (amazing greetings).

I also used the stitched shape dies to create the circle around the Holy Family. I used the 2 largest circles and die cut them at the same time to create the frame in the copper paper. Even though I did take the time to color this card was actually very quick and easy to put together. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you are all staying safe. Have a blessed day!
Don't forget if you would like to create a few stamped cards for Christmas and want all the work done for you sign up for this paper pumpkin. Let me know if you have any questions.

Quick and Easy with Evergreen Forest

Hi and welcome to another quick and easy Christmas card! For this card I used an idea from my amazingly talented friend, Tami Hewlett. She made a card a while back where she used an embossing folder on designer paper. So I used the evergreen forest 3D embossing folder with a piece of the snowflake splendor dsp. This paper is so pretty and I love the color palette.

After running it through I lightly rubbed the raised edges with a sponge dauber and pool party ink. Then to give it a little more pop I lightly sponged some of the frost white shimmer paint. The shine on this in person is so pretty!

For the greeting I used the for unto us sentiment (which would also be a great for inside). I used it for the outside on this card because it fit so well in the space.  This card turned out so cute and I love how easy it was. You could even switch it up with using different sentiments.

Thank you again for stopping by to see this quick and easy Christmas card idea for today. I hope this inspires you to make your own Christmas cards!

Brightly gleaming

Hi! I am starting to work on my Christmas cards and this year I am going to share with you quick and easy cards to create (and they will be easy to mail). The first card is created with the for unto us stamp set. I think it is a must have for making your cards this year. So many different fonts and I love all the beautiful sentiments. I paired this set with the brightly gleaming dsp. This paper is gorgeous, I was so excited when they brought it back.

I gold heat embossed the greeting and used a few different dies to cut out the layers: rectangle stitched dies, stitched shape dies, stitched nested label dies. The forever gold laser cut specialty paper came in handy behind the greeting. You can do so much with this beautiful paper with layers of the different pattern. Thank you for stopping by. Come back soon and see the next easy Christmas card idea.

Love for the ocean

Hello! Welcome! Today's card is again using the fun whale done stamp set and seabed embossing folder. I wanted to show you a card that does not involve the punch. I know so many are on a tight budget right not and the stamp sets and embossing folders are sold for pretty reasonable prices.  For this card I designed it around the background I made. I used the technique of rubbing pacific point ink pad on the raised part of the embossing folder. Ran through with a piece of whisper white and then using my sponge rubbed pool party to the background. In some areas the pacific point became a little dull and so I rubbed on a little bit more ink.

I ran the pool party card base through the embossing folder and lined up the other layer with the bottom layer.

I added a few woven thread sequins to add a little sparkle. Thank you again for stopping by and please leave a comment and let me know what you think of this card. I would love to hear from you.  Have a blessed day and hope you come back soon!

Under the Sea

Hi stampers and welcome! So glad that you are here! Today's card is very simple. Lately I have been in a stampin rut and when that happens I like to go back to simple designs. Using again one of my favorites this year the whale done bundlewhale of a time dsp and seabed embossing folder.

The jelly fish is die cut with the stitched so sweetly die set. I think my favorite little addition is the whale tale. I had it sitting on my desk from another project that I had not used it and thought it looked so cute on this card.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope this inspires you to stamp today. Also, don't forget that the whale dsp is on sale this month. You will want this paper! Every design is adorable! Have a blessed day!

Follow the Star

Hi and welcome! This week I have been struggling to find creative juices. So when I get stuck in a rut I like to do something simple that takes no creative effort yet feel productive. So I have been wanting to make a card stock ring. I have a huge scrap box and I am not sure sometime which color card stock is what. So I made this ring to set on my desk as a reference.

I love the brightly gleaming dsp from last years catalog and I was so excited when they brought it back this year. I created a little scene with the peaceful nativity bundle. I also cut hills for the scene as well as used the subtle embossing folder to add a little texture.

I didn't care for the way that the white outline stood out against the night sky and so I colored the edges with the dark night of navy stampin blend. When you look quick you do not see it as much but I think I would rather just fussy cut it next time.

The dies in the bundle also come with a cute little star that I cut out with the copper paper. I love all the scene cards that so many other stamper make and I hope to get better at them. This was a fun try. I hope you enjoy this card and have a blessed day!

Only a few short days to order this fun set!
