See the Good

Hello and welcome! I am back with another pear. Isn't this image beautiful! I absolutely love the way that this one turned out. To achieve this I used my stamp postioner and first stamped with pear pizzazz and spritzed once with water. I did this 2 times with this color and then I did the same with daffodil delight. I did not reink it between and I think this helped to move the color around a little.

Give this technique a try. You will get such a fun result. I now what to try it with the artichoke in this stamp set. I stamped the greeting with mossy meadow.

The shimmery white panel was die cut with stitched so sweetly dies. The background paper is the in  good taste dsp. I am trying to figure out how I can make it look like the pears are sitting on the tile counter. I will let you know if I am able to accomplish that. Have a great day and I hope you come back soon!

Sunflower returns

Hi! I am back with another sunflower card. I couldn't help myself. For this card I did a quick wash of color behind where I thought the petals would be. I did a few layers of color to try and get some dimension. Aren't the colors popping through fun?

The center of the sunflower was from another project that I hadn't used and so I thought it would look cute with this flower. The greeting is white heat embossed on mossy meadow.

I wanted to add a bow and so I put it behind the center, what do you think? I am really not sure if I like it or not. I would love any comments you would have. I think the hardest part about stamping at home during the pandemic is I have not one to ask there opinion. Who do you go to? Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by today! You are a blessing in my life!

Have scraps?

Are you a paper scraps hoarder? I am guilty as charged. So when I saw this challenge at the TGIF challenge it is all about scraps! I used up so many of the different colors of green that Stampin' Up has. I just happened to have many strips of scraps for my background. I started with a piece of white card stock, added a little liquid adhesive at a time and arranged the strips until the entire piece was filled. I then cut the excess off and ran it through my big shot with the largest stitched rectangle die.

I stamped the pear from the new set see the good. This was  one of my favorite new sets in the catalog. I had so much fun playing with the pear and the artichoke. I am excited to create cards with the pieces that I made. This was the first one that I made. I stamped the pear in daffodil delight lightly and then stamped pear pizzazz on top of this. It helped to have a stamp positioner for this step. I really like the subtle yellow that shows behind the green.

The other thing that really stood out to me on this set was the sentiments. I love the fonts and the says are so sweet. I am so excited to play more with this set. I would love to know what you do with paper scraps? Do you also keep all little pieces thinking you will need them someday? I could probably make about 50 cards with all the green scraps I have. Check out the amazing ideas for what to do with your scraps over at the challenge. I know that I will use some of the ideas I have seen.  Have a blessed day and I will be back soon! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Stampin' blends on Crumb Cake

Hello and welcome! I hope you are having a great week and that you are able to sneak in a little time to craft. For today's card I stamped on crumb cake and colored with my stampin' blends. I did a quick color with very little highlights. I wanted to see what it looked like coloring in crumb cake with the blends.

I like the subtle color that you get. Kinda of dreamy to me. After I splattered a little white and black ink, white heat embossed the image and cut out the stitched so sweetly dies. This card was so quick and easy. I love how it turned out.  Do you like quick cards or do you prefer really fancy, lots of layer cards? I would love to hear what is your favorite.Have a great day and know that you are loved today!

Blessed!

Hi! Blessed and grateful is how I am feeling today! Especially because you are here! Also for my family continuing to be safe and healthy! I love the sentiments from the to a wild rose stamp set. So I wanted to make a card with them as well as the beautiful rose in the set.

Isn't this rose gorgeous in blushing bride? I stamped all 3 layers in the color. Make sure to let each layer dry before stamping the next layer, it really makes a difference in the dimension. (Jennifer McGuire always talks about that) She is a wealth of knowledge!

The wood grain in the designer series paper really makes the rose pop on the paper. Thank you for stopping by today and have a great week! Take time to think of what you are blessed and grateful for this week! It will make your days so much more worthwhile. I would love to hear what you are grateful for in my comments.

Not my favorite!

Hi! This is going to be a quick post. I was not crazy about how this card turned out but I wanted to share the part that I did like. I love how the flower turned out. The sentiment was not straight when I stamped it and so I re-stamped it and cut it out to place on top. Nope, didn't like that . But I still wanted to share. I know many times people think that all cards are a masterpiece well this was not one of them. Which did make me sad at first because I liked the rest of the card until the greeting. Does this happen to you? Let me know what you do with the card that you don't like. Thank you for taking your time out of your day to check this out. Have a wonderful and safe day! Stay healthy!

Color Therapy

Hello and welcome! I hope you are all ready for the weekend. Today I made some time for a little color therapy. I don't know about you but I have been so grateful for my craft of stamping and coloring during this pandemic. It has really been great therapy for me. Coloring really relaxes me. What about you?

The stampin' blends are so fun to play with and they come in so many different colors now. I used a few of my favorite on this card.

After cutting the image out I used the crumb cake blends so that the white card stock between the flowers wasn't so stark. I wanted to make it look like the designer paper that I mounted it on.  Have a great weekend and take some time for yourself. Color, paint, draw or whatever craft you like and just savor the moment that you get to spend in peace and quiet. Stay healthy and have a blessed weekend!

Hi! Just when you thought that I had moved passed my sunflower obsession I have created another card. This card was quick and simple. A quick little watercolor wash on water color paper, stamp, color and cut out the image and white heat emboss and cut out the sentiment.

Simple cards make me happy! Coloring makes me happy! Speaking of coloring have you been joining in with the 30 day coloring challenge? It is going on now and not to late to partake.  You can also follow on facebook and instagram. It is a wonderful group that enjoy coloring and are so supportive of each other. Plus coloring is so relaxing!

Did you notice the little clear water drop looking embellishments? Aren't they fun! The are in the flowers for every season gem set. They have clear and just jade gems in 2 sizes, 75 of each so that is 300 pieces! For only $6.50!  I will need a new pack of these soon! I use them on everything!! Have a wonderful day! Visit tomorrow to see if what stamp set I use. Will it contain a sunflower?  You will have to check back and see! Stay safe and keep praying for the end to the virus!

Wild Rose

Hello! Can you believe that I have created a card without the celebrate sunflowers stamp set? It is true taking a short little break and using the to a wild rose stamp set. I really enjoy the 2 step stamp sets. You can get so many different looks from the set. For today's card I used 2 of the steps (this flower actually has 3 steps) I didn't use the outline stamp.

The leaf also has a 2 step which is fun! I used the matching dies to cut out the images.  The sentiment is from the a grand kid stamp set and cut out with the stitched rectangle dies. I love how the flower pops on the white embossed panel. Have a great day! Be safe and craft a little today!

Second generation sunflower

Hi! So glad you are here!  Today's card was made yesterday when I had out my spritzer and sunflower stamp. After I stamped the sunflower on the scripty EF (yesterdays card) I kept stamping it on another piece of whisper white card stock. I re-wet the stamp once (without adding any more ink) and stamped it 4 times. It is amazing how many times you can stamp and you still will get the image to print.

I really like the way each time it softens the sunflower image. I used the old world paper embossing folder on the daffodil delight panel continuing to burnish the edges with my scissors and then used the scissors to weather the edges of the sunflower piece.

I had a scrap from a piece of crumb cake that I had run through the die machine, I placed that behind the greeting. Thank you for stopping by! Stay healthy and keep praying for the virus to end!

Spritzed Sunflower!

Welcome! I hope that you are doing well and staying healthy! Thankfully our family has been staying healthy! I took out my stampin spritzer today! These are one of the best deals in the catalog, only $3 for 2 spritzers! There are so many fun techniques you can do with this under rated tool. For this card I ran my white card stock through the  my die machine with the scripty EF.

I inked up the large sunflower with crushed curry, pumpkin pie and crumb cake, then spritzed it with water a few times and quickly stamped the image on the embossed piece. I didn't use to much water because I was stamping it on regular whisper white card stock. I kept the spritzer at a pretty far distance from the inked stamp. Give this technique a try and if you want a new fun tool to play with order the spritzers. You can purchase from my site if you do not have a demonstrator yet.  Let me know if you have any questions!  Have a beautiful and blessed day!

Ink blended sunflower

Hi stamping friends! So glad you are here.  I have not posted in a while, I have been in a creative slump. What do you do when that happens to you?  I usually look at my old catalogs and get inspiration from them. Sometimes I feel like a lot of my things end up looking the same.  Not sure if that means it is my style or if I am not pushing myself enough. I love the big sunflower from the celebrate sunflower stamp set. You will see in my next couple posts that I have been having fun with it. I decided to just enjoy the process and not focus so much on if I think everyone will like the card.

Wow, my picture really did become a true close up! Hopefully it is not too big! I white heat embossed both the flower and the leaves and ink blended them for a fun color pop! I love all these bright colors together! I had also white heat embossed the greeting but I didn't want to cover all the bright colors and so I cut it apart. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I would love to hear from you! If you would like a holiday catalog please let me know and I will ship one to you.  Have a blessed day!
