Sunday stampers #226

Isn't this a fun sketch? I really like a new idea for a card because I feel like I tend to always go for the same or similar design. What about you? Check out the Sunday stampers blog, the designers really did a beautiful job with this sketch.  Lately I have been using a lot more of flirty flamingo. It is not a super bright color but also not as soft as blushing bride.

To get the scripty embossing folder to really pop I swiped my white ink pad across it a few times. I really love this soft look. The stamp set I used was floral essence and I colored it with my stampin blends. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my card. I really appreciate your feedback and hope you come back real soon. Stay healthy and keep coloring!
Don't forget sale a bration is only till the end of March. You don't want to miss out. Also, don't forget about the coordination products below. They have some really great dies.

Which do you like best?

I am not sure what element I like best in this card, the designer paper, the sentiment and die shape, the ribbon or the jewels? Pretty sure it is all of them.  I also like them all together! And what a simple card on top of it.

This ribbon is so soft and easy to work with, not bulky at all. Love that!

The little from my heart faceted gems are such a fun element to add to the card. It was hard to get a picture to really show them off, but in person they are so sparkly! I really hope they put these in the future catalogs. The ones I used on this card are the white (they also come in flirty flamingo and real red) and it is great how they pick up the colors from the card.
Thank you for stopping by today and checking out this card. I thought it would make a beautiful wedding card.  What occasion do you think would be best? Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank You!

I can't thank you enough for visiting my blog! I love sharing the cards I make but I always struggle with what to write on my blog. I would love any advise you have. Do I write to much? Not enough? More details? More about me? Let me know because I want you to enjoy your time here and come back. I love the sentiments in the new sentiment set, so sentimental stamp set (how many times can I say sentiment) I used the stitched shapes to cut this out.

I used the subtle embossing folder on the best dressed dsp to add just a little more texture. I think it is really fun to use embossing folders on dsp. Give it a try! This paper is so gorgeous that I did not want to add much for that would distract from it. Let me know what you do when you have a beautiful paper? Do you add a lot of elements or keep it simple?  Have a great day and I would love any comments you would have!

GDP #231

Hi and welcome to my blog! For today's project I decided to join the current challenge at the Global Design Project blog. Check them out here! I made a card with the free as a bird bundle as my flutter and fly. I love to color and since the 30 day color challenge is going on I have been wanting to color a little each day. With all the craziness going on right now (hope you are staying healthy) coloring is great way to de-stress. I colored these cute little birds with stampin blends.

For the background I used the high seas embossing folder to make clouds. I used the opposite side of the paper after running it through and then swiped the card stock with a little balmy blue.

I used the bird ballad dsp for the other corner of the card.

I tied a little knot with a small piece of braided linen thread.  Thank you for stopping by, don't forget to check out the global design project blog and see all the amazing designers projects. If you are new to my blog I would love to hear from you and please stop by again! Have a great day and stay healthy!

Wild card

Hi! I hope you are having a great week and that you are staying healthy! The wild rose stamp set makes such beautiful cards. Today I used the technique of stamping the second layer of roses with mambo melon and spritzed it with water. Then stamp the image onto watercolor paper.  One hint I have is that it is best to leave the stamp on the paper a few extra seconds to really let the water and color do its job and then just let it dry flat. The results are always different. I did the same with the leaves using pool party for the ink.  After they all dried I used the dies to cut out the images.

I really liked this dsp from the lily impressions pack and thought it went really well with the flower. (This paper is FREE with a $50 order)  I love the detail in the paper to make it look like paint on a canvas. So fun! Finished this card off with a beautiful greeting and mounted it all on a piece of thick whisper white card stock. Let me know what you think of this technique and if you have tried it? Have a beautiful day and I hope to be back soon!

Floating by to say "hi"

It feels so good to be back stamping. When I go many days without it I get so sad! I made this background a while ago. I started by practicing a watercolor wash on watercolor paper. I used night of navy for this. After it dried I ran it though with the high seas embossing folder and finished the panel with the largest of rectangle stitched frames.

I stamped the walrus in momento ink on smoky slate card stock and used the white watercolor pencil to add a few highlights. I added a few sprays of white ink on the background for a little extra added texture.  Thank you for stopping by and for having patience with my lack of blogging.

Today is the last day to sign up for the paper pumpkin and FREE stamp set! Order now to not miss out.

Don't forget to check out the website with the new items from the second set of sale a bration items with every $50 or $100 order FREE sets!

How can it be March?

Hi my friends! Thank you for stopping by today! I apologize for being absent for the past few weeks, some how life has just been so busy. I have not had time to stamp and that makes me so sad. But it looks like things will slow down and I can squish in some time to stamp. It is my happy place and really relaxes me, something we all need more of. I wanted to let you know a few new things that start today.

Yeah, it is the second release of saleabration! Some fabulous new sets and items.

Isn't that the cutest set!

This paper is so gorgeous! I am so excited to order it! I feel like this will be a wanted item!

Wow this vellum is stunning! Another item I think will sell out fast! So order your $50 to get it for free.  Just placed and order so you don't know what to order? I always stock up on card stock and adhesive during saleabration. Especially the in-colors that will be retiring in a few months.

Did you know that if you order paper pumpkin subscription for 6 months or more you receive all the same saleabration items? And the next paper pumpkin is going to include an additional stamp set for FREE!

I am really excited to see what this little box has in store! I love the box already. Let me know if you have any questions about paper pumpkin. It is great for first time stampers and those we like everything done for you. I have found they are great for grab and go. When I have to sit in a doctors office or just watching tv they are so easy!
I hope to get a few cards finished today so that I can share them with you soon. Thank you again for stopping by! I truly am blessed to have such wonderful, supportive friends!
